im so sad the algorithm isnt pushing your work.. in such dark times, you provide much needed escape from it through your work. it feels good to see a person so pure, on the inside and outside, and artwork so beautiful and resonant.

Love the painting and the story even more. That friend that gave you the heads up was a real one. Glad you’re still friends ❤ by the way I’m from Ireland 🇮🇪 so I hope you were treated well.

Mira, no matter what happens in your life, I feel like you (and everyone really) should strive to learn three key facts: (1) never be afraid to be yourself, (2) there will always be someone who loves you, and (3) don’t forget to care for your own needs.  I feel like, also being an introverted, reserved person due to not belonging with the normal crowd, that being normal is overrated.  Never forget what made you the person you are, and never forget that you are a beautiful person! ❤❤❤

I love being in my forties because I love myself now, I accept myself now. Aging is a gift sometimes ox

I audibly gasped when you pulled out the canvas, IT's HUGE ☺

It was never that you didn't belong. It was that people made you feel like you didn't belong. Everyone belongs wherever they want to be. Some people are just too selfish to share a space and believe that they have the right to dictate where and how others should be. It's very sad and very damaging, but it does highlight the kind of people you wouldn't actually want to be friends with.

My dad’s favourite animal was the tiger we still have painting of tigers he did before he passed away from cancer last year he painted them in his last few months we cherish them a lot

This was really sweet. I’ve been shy my whole life. I never felt like I belonged anywhere. But in college I made friends for the first time in my life. It is still one of the best season’s of my life.

The summer after I turned 30 I realized I had stopped caring and stressing about stuff.  It felt so good.

Also, I have a new friend.  She has worked at my vet for years and in the last year bought a house 3 down from me and she is so easy to be friends with.  She told me awhile ago that the first time we met she knew she wanted to be friends with me.  Then a couple weeks ago we were in our hammocks and she told me that she told her mom that she feels like God made us to be friends.  I've never really had great experiences with female friends and I am so thankful for her.

My bFF plopped down next to me at lunch at school in 7th grade, she said rear God told her that we were to be best friends, we have jusr both retired this summer and we will always “belong in each other’s world,

I have a bittersweet moment about fitting in. When I was in first grade, I was super shy and I didn’t want to talk to anyone. I went out to recess by myself on the first day of school. I actually don’t really remember but apparently I was sitting by myself when a little girl from my class came up to me and asked if I wanted to swing with her. I do remember walking back after recess holding hands with her and saying we would be best friends forever! My mom always called her my angel because of how sweet she was to me. Her name was Sarah and she died when I was 11 years old.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about that mean girl and that betrayal. But the host making mashed potatoes was so nice. I'm sure he had no idea he was making a lifelong memory for you (maybe him, too)--and a lifelong friendship!
What a unique painting with a neat story & meaning behind it! Kindness is lovely 😊

I used to kinda dislike big cats like tigers and lions because they're not really cute like cats and dogs, but now I absolutely love them. The stripes are so beautiful.

This is definitely a new favorite! I also love the story behind it!! I definitely relate to not belonging so much! Love your videos and art

This is one of my favourite paintings of yours Mira, thank you for sharing with us and being so vulnerable. You have such a kind spirit 🤍

Mira, you did such a beautiful job with your tiger painting. I also know what’s it’s like to not feel like I belonged. I just started my masters degree program to become a clinical mental health counselor. I was so nervous that I couldn’t keep with the work. I was nervous about meeting my professors and classmates. I am in my second term and I’m enjoying it so much. I love my professors and my classmates so much. I want to help others who feel less than.

Oh Mira, it breaks my heart that those people were so ugly and mean to you. I know you turned it around and your spirit was then given the freedom to flourish and show what it was really made of. It contains so much strength and beauty that you might not have even known had you not been challenged. Some people are just really ugly and treat people horribly. Maybe they always will or maybe they will grow but I am grateful that it brought you right here...to me. You are one of the brightest most enlightened souls I have ever known. And I haven't even met you! I want to give you a big strong bear hug. Apparently, my hugs are a little legendary, I'm just saying. I just put this beautiful tiger into my shopping cart and can't wait to get it! THANK YOU for being you.
xoxo Marisa ❤💕🥹

I just watched your most recent video of fall things you want, but don’t need and it was so inspiring. But now I’ve been spun on my head because I know I don’t need this tiger painting/print…but I ABSOLUTELY DO need it.

This was such a beautiful video Mira!! I loved your stories behind the piece, and the final reveal was amazing!! And the prints turned out amazing!! I’ve struggled with fitting in my whole life. When I was a teenager, I went to summer camp, and the girls in my cabin were so friendly and we all became fast friends. It was one of the first experiences I had where I fit in with a group of girls. I still have very fond memories of that time. ☺️💜
