We set off in our Range Rover looking forward to a relaxing caravan holiday with our three beloved labradoodles, but things didn't go quite to plan! 🐕🐕🐕
Shortly after arriving, we discovered we'd unknowingly broken one of the campsite's rules. The result? We were told to leave and had to rethink our entire trip.

That’s a gorgeous site…2 hours cleaning …fabulous..it puts to shame a lot of sites that just don’t bother…but no refunds upon eviction is a no no…we all make mistakes..I was gagging to go to this site but I’ll forsake it now , and take my chances with the cobweb and gunk sites..

It is worth checking with a site prior to booking as quantity of dogs is quite a common thing. Sorry that you found out about it the hard way though.

That's so upsetting for you all.
Not refunding some of the pitch fees is unfair. Ill take this one off my list to visit.

Hi guys sorry to see your holiday was cut short they look like well behaved dogs too we are going to that site soon we had to book the dog in on booking anyway best of luck with your touring 👍

As soon as I saw that big windbreak compound I lost what little sympathy I had in the first place. It was not just unsightly, it took up more space than your actual van and then you had the cheek to park your car outside of it thus taking up even more space. The compound wasn't even fully enclosed, there was a big gap by the front of the van where the dogs could easily escape. Finally, the 2 dog rule seems very reasonable to me and you broke it, simple as that.

I had a simular situation in Normans bay camping and caravan club. Stupid rules . Windbreaks wernt permitted at night. No gazebos , and no mains multi adapters , staff were rude , so i cancelled my membership as did a few friends of mine as we were all together, i sent them an email and got no reply. Now got a motorhome with good solar , so no need for camp sites ..

Hi guys. I can recommend the North Yorkshire Moors C&MC site a friend of mine has been taking his 4 🐕🐕🐕🐕 Springer's there for several years. Its just outside of Whitby. There are no toilets or showers but its a lovely site.

I know rules are rules, campsite owners break them themselves.we used go to an adult only TRANQUIL !! site (clue in the name ),there were lots people with lone dogs that barked all day .Went to reception got a shrug so I had to go and talk to dog owners myself. Then they started having live music comedians etc. To top it all the owners allowed their grandchildren (under ten) to go into the bar and even allowed them to dance on top of the bar itself,DOGS ON LEADS signage everywhere but their dog roams round the site and food shop unleashed,mentioned all the above to owner ,got told it's our site!!. I am surprised that you didn’t check with the site prior to booking to confirm that they will allow three dogs ? Most sites have a max of two.

Some sites are max 2..can get 3 in some...woeth checking when booking.

Being kicked off the site seems a bit drastic, even worse not getting a refund. All they had to do was have a polite word and just charge for the extra dog.

Such a shame, cancelled for the sake of one extra dog. There’s always that one person who spoils everything. We always go to broadings farm at Whitby. Very clean and excellent helpful staff. Anyway I’m sure you found somewhere better.

One dog is a pet two are friends three are a pack. Were you planning to go hunting? Or just keep everyone else up with barking You admired the grounds then hammered a hundred poles into it. Imagine if everyone did that by the end of the season the pitch would be a pit. Consider the consequences of your actions don't blame the site.
