Just goes to show how much music Queen could make with just one guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

I was actually in that audience. If you look really closely near the middle back you still can't see me. I have never been to a gig like that one, before or after and Queen were just unbelievable. Thank for this one and peace from the UK.

Freddie had a severe throat infection and performed against medical advice. There were roughly 72,000 people in Wembley Stadium that day and he held all of them in the palm of his hand. Freddie didn't publically come out and didn't reveal his AIDs diagnosis until the day before he died in 1991.

Great reaction. I agree with you that they performance is the best rock performance ever. I never get tired of watching it. Thanks for the video!

According to Brian May, Bob Geldof actually approached Queen when they were all out together somewhere and told them about what he was planning and asked them to be part of it.  After that, Queen all thought it was pie in the sky that Geldof could never pull it off so they sort of blew it off.  Later, Geldof called them and asked if they would be part of the show.  Queen kicked the idea around and decided that they would take part and also offered their sound crew. This all happened after the tickets had all been sold for the show so Queen was not one of the bands advertised to be performing.  They almost didn't do the show because Freddie developed a throat infection and his doctor said not to.  But since they were already scheduled and it was only a 20 minute slot Freddie said he could do it.  Queen had just finished a successful stadium tour a few months earlier so they were not done with, but they were not the hottest band in rock at the time either. A lot of critics had assumed that Queen was past their prime but Queen proved all the naysayers wrong.  Actually, Bowie was the next performer after Queen and he did give them a dig but all in fun.  Bowie h eld his own and to be honest is probably the only one there who could have followed Queen.

Thank you for reacting to this incredible Queen performance. Your reaction was fantastic and I love how you research before you react. Queen was epic, and this is an epic performance. Freddie is unbelievable. Keep on keeping on!

I've watched so many reactions with young people watching Live Aid and I love it when these young people say they don't know who Queen is until We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions starts playing. They know who Queen is they just don't know it.

Not to mention technology was not so remote.  Lots of cords and wires, no click tracks or any earpieces just front monitors.  No special effects, just Freddie's voice and great musicians.  Freddie was also the best at strutting on that stage. And no cell phones getting in the way.

Even the best bow ever.  Magical being Freddie.

Best live performance ever!  I never get tired of watching this.  Thanks for the great reaction.  ☮️💙😎

Without a doubt the greatest performance ever.i was 17 in 1985 and this still blows me away 41 years later.queen were brilliant and freddie was the greatest front man and singer to grace the music industry. Irreplaceable and one in a million.
Let's not forget roger Brian and John.outstanding

The movie Bohemian Rapsody has some fictional parts that people take as gospel truth. Freddie never came out as gay although he never hid it from those close to him. He didn't want the press fo focus on him but on Queen and the music instead ! That's why he never told anyone he had HIV until the day before he died, It was to protect those close to him from being hounded by the paparazzi. He wasn't diagnosed with it until 1987 long after this performance.
They rehearsed the 20 minute set for a week in a rented hall to make sure everything fit together perfectly. They always had very high standards!! ❤❤

I attended LiveAid 1985 a phenomenal performance by Queen, LiveAid was also twinned with a same day concert in Philadelphia 🇺🇸 USA,crowd at LiveAid 72,000, and Philadelphia 92,000,LiveAid for the first time in history televised worldwide to nearly 2 Billion people, yes a stunning venue and a time to remember,Queens popularity was restored as in 1986 Queens Magic Tour became a reality, they had 20 live concerts in Europe finishing in Wembley Stadium London, were they had two shows back to back to a crowd of 150,000,as Wembley was a sellout Queen had an extra concert at Knebworth Park 1986,to a estimated crowd of 120,-140 thousand, this was Freddie’s very last live performance with Queen, great reaction thanks 🙏 I attended all four of these concerts between 1985 and 1986 ! Great reaction thanks 🙏

Great reaction to a great historic moment in music that I'll never forget.❤😊

As other said there was no queen fans cous they were first anounced after all the tickets were sold

You say watch the fan base, but these were not Queen fans, believe me they were after this.

I think you’d love to see the time the crowd before a green day concert, when they just happened to play queen bohemian rhapsody over the speakers and the entire crowd sang every part of it.

Also this and dire straits live at alchemy are my joint first for live performances.  Check sultans of swing out at alchemy I think you will love that too. I can never decide which is better

This is awesome. I never tire of seeing this ❤.

Have you seen the iconic video of 65,000 Green Day fans singing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" at London's Hyde Park during the British Summer Time Festival?

While waiting for Green Day to take the stage during their Revolution Radio Tour, the venue's PA system played Bohemian Rapsody as part of the pre-show music. Without anyone on stage or any prompting from the band, the massive 65,000 strong crowd spontaneously united to sing the entire six-minute masterpiece word-for-word in perfect unison!

36 years gone and he can still command an entire stadium! There's no other like him ❤

Great reaction….Thank you
