I Mowed My Lawn In HALF the Time!

Tractor Time with Tim

379,141 views

After 6" of rain kept us out of the yard for several days, the front lawn was seriously overgrown. Tractor Time with Tim put the Dixie Chopper zero-turn mower and a Kunz Engineering tow-behind finish mower to work, cutting a full 10'+ path in one pass instead of the ZTR’s usual 60" width. Watch how this combo made short work of the tall grass and got the yard looking sharp again! #zeroturnmower #dixiechopper ‪@DixieChopperMowers‬ ‪@KunzEngineering‬ #towbehindmower

I think you should have kunz send you another one and run one on each side of dixi.

I have had two Kunz the last 10 years. GREAT pull behind mower deck. And, the people at Kunz Engineering have been great to work with. I cannot recommend it more!

It passed the mud bog test, it’s approved!

To keep you from having to turn around to see where the edge of the deck is at you can mount a rod that sticks out the width of the mower that way you can always look forward while going along the ditch or field and save your neck

Been using a Swisher pull behind for 12 years behind my JD X720, like the 3rd wheel option on the Kunz. One thing I did with all my attachments behind the X720, ball hitches, no mess no fuss and safer than hitch pins.

I dod this with lawn tractor and a zero turn. On both. I changed drive belts often!!

Tim, I love my 1025 but for mowing grass. My grasshopper 725D with a 72inch rear discharge deck is amazing . The 725D is front attaching mower deck (you could put a flail mower, broom, aerator and snow blower too) that means the mower deck is in front of you (like Vinny) no vibrations on your body from the deck. And the 8 psi tires makes it float over uneven terrain well. Tim, I think you would be surprised how different it is compared to other zero turns. And you can fix it easily. Feels like it was made for farmers.

Didn't realize you got into a zero turn again.

This would be great to reduce cutting time in our yard. Love having the acres. Currently cut with a 72 inch. Adding nearly 60 more would be wild.

Tim that’s a beautiful lawn on the farms. This mower setup is very nice I’d probably opt for the Kawasaki EFI as that what’s on my 2 zero turn mowers. Great content I’ve followed you for years back when your daughter was your sidekick. Thank you for sharing.

Who else sits by and idly waits for our boy to post another banger!? I know I do! It feels like Christmas!🤣🤣✌️

Very interesting. I think I would much prefer to have that mower offset to my right rather than my left. Would make my brain much happier.

Looks Great for wide open areas! My yard and gardens are way to intricate a design to take advantage of the mowing width. Sure is well built!

We mow our airport with two of these finish mowers towed behind a 72" John Deere tractor. They have been really solid workhorses for us for 10+ years while mowing 20+ acres every single weekend.

@ralphjelomono9068 3 weeks ago

Thanks Tim. I did not realize something like that existed. That would add some serious additional cut width when behind my 72" Gravely. I do have a Woods TBW 144 12ft batwing for behind my tractor but there are occasions where that combo is not effective and the zero turn plus Kunz would be great.
