Watch People Fight Over Reclining Their Seats on a Plane

Vanishing Types

23,683 views

Reclining your seat has been one of the most controversial topics on planes for years. Some passengers say it is their right. Others call it rude and disrespectful. This video brings together real airplane arguments over reclining seats, all sparked by one button.

You will see the debate from every angle. Passengers who refuse to recline. Passengers who recline the second the wheels leave the ground. A woman on a twelve hour flight who gets her seat rattled for minutes straight while a flight attendant threatens an emergency landing. A mom who complains about a stranger reclining while her own baby bangs the seat in front of her.

Is reclining your seat a right you paid for, or is it disrespectful to the person behind you? Watch the clips, hear both sides, then decide where you stand.

Team recline or team upright? Tell us in the comments.

Я тоже считаю ,что можно на один щелчок откинуться,но ведь ложатся почти тебе на колени.

There needs to be more room on the airline for reclining seats or stop offering reclining seats. People are packed like sardines and when someone reclines, they are right in the face of the person behind them. Sometimes a few coughs and fake sneezes will get the seat back up.

Sit upright when it is meal time, take-off and landing, and recline all you want for the rest of your flight!

When it’s meal time you can not recline your seat. When meal time is over and your tray has been taken, recline all you want.

If you don't like it, you can claim it to the airline, as they are the ones providing reclining seats. But the hassle of other passengers using their payed right to recline is just plain rude.

On the other hand the rows are getting tighter while the people bigger, so I tend to rudeness myself sometimes. What can I do?

Maybe it’s because people are packed in like sardines. When the seat in front of you reclines, it’s like 3 inches from your face.

People who say “well it’s there, so I can use it.” think about this…. Just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean that you SHOULD.

There is already too little space between seats on airplanes. The reclining function should be removed completely in my opinion. That being said, it is there and the passenger should be able to use it.

12:27 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that's so cute that she thinks her vote counts or anybody else's for that matter. Tell me you're still asleep without telling me you're still asleep😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

11:20 and that's where she made her mistake and made it her problem I was nobody's problem but her own she had every right to recline that seat as does anybody even if it's a 45-minute flight to the Bahamas some of these people act like they buy cars and sit in the seat exactly how it came from the factory and never make an adjustment 😂😂😂😂 I'm that person I'm going to recline my seat every time and I'm going to sit how I am comfortable if the passenger behind me doesn't like it that's their problem not mine

@bubu777-i7f 5 days ago

The violent chinese man who is aggressively kicking the seat has his own seat in recline too?? So it's ok for him, but not for the passenger infront??🤔

@annep8721 5 days ago

The seat reclines for a reason. 😑

@dinnyd7824 6 days ago

I hate when someone reclines their seat I only do it if person front of me does but it is so uncomfortable I wish airlines would remove it

You live having crabs for down there while eating lobster😂

@karlbuote2216 6 days ago (edited)

This is just ridiculous seats recline for a reason. So obviously, you're allowed to recline your seat. This isn't even a question

@kellholliman 6 days ago

air lines should disable the recline or restrict the reclining angle on the seats! end of story & argument!

Just another way the airline tries to make you buy the more expensve seats. Make life as uncomfortable for the cusomters as possible. Don't get mad at each other. Get mad at the losers that own the companies and make the decisions to cram people in

@DennisBell-tz2sb 6 days ago

I’m in a wheelchair Cheadle don’t tell shit about sitting.

@karencamp741 7 days ago

The Chinese man at the 1:29 mark who is kicking the seat of the man in front of him for reclining his seat has no reason to be mad cause he has his own seat reclined.
