ahhh when AFTV came out during our banter era...visionairy, just recording and putting up fan reactions, turning them into personalities. other clubs making their own channels. Robbie is an innovator whether you love or hate him

This guy spawned an entire genre on YouTube.

AFTV is the greatest fan lead channel I've ever seen big ups to Robbie !

When Don Robbie first started AFTV, a top YouTube executive told him it would never work. Don Robbie stuck to his vision, kept pushing, and eventually that same executive came back to apologise for getting it completely wrong.

Listening to this at 44:00 ... was a big watcher of AFTV in 206/17/18 prime years, Robbie inspired me to create my own channel and try my own thing. Love or loathe him he changed the media game forever.

Robbie done his job for the club as a fan. No doubt about that. If it wasn't for his media coverage over the seasons after games. Club owners wouldn't of had 1st hand opinions from the fans in the era they took over. What Robbie done has PAID OFF bigtime 🤣 Yes brudda 😁 Nuff respect & we all got to big up Robbie for his service to the club. AFTV got me through post Wenger. Even if i was vexed the whole time 🤣🤣

Arsenal may actually be close to being the biggest club in the World if you are going on fan numbers , it's extraordinary and growing by the hour !

Nice reasoning, to be fair Robbie always let the fans speak but he always corrected them and I respect that, you have to look at life both ways and we have to remember all players are humans

It was not only genius of Robbie; where it was Robbie + Arsenal.. Not so many other club can tolerate Wenger likes in long term and also the club fan base helps consistency, which is the pillar of AFTV.

Robbie's take is purely from arsenal fans' perspective when talking about what brings the most views
and it's true, as a fan, i watch them more when arsenal wins but it's the rival fans and haters who come to see the meltdown

Brilliant interview. Thank you for this. Its a different energy when brothas interview brothas. This reminds me of Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast in the US. Big up to the Don. He's the global leader of the Arsenal fanbase. And his channel has set the tone for the current YouTube football fan environment.

Robbie is such a wise guy! The way he answers questions, he doesn’t box himself in to a corner, he evades and turns it around and answers how he wants to be portrayed.
