One of his last television appearances was on December 18, 2001, on the program Porta a Porta, hosted by Bruno Vespa and dedicated entirely to him. After this evening, he appeared again in July 2002 on the program Italiani nel mondo, hosted by Pippo Baudo, and then, for the last time, in a film shot in his studio, which was intended to be shown exclusively to the audience at the Ambra Jovinelli Theater in Rome, where, on December 17, 2002, an evening in his honor had been organized. Unfortunately, the great Alberto, an unforgettable protagonist of Italian cinema and beyond, had to cancel his appearance for health reasons. This video was sent to me anonymously, following a phone call, that same evening behind the shutter of a shop on Corso Francia in Rome. After 12 years, I decided to publish it, precisely because it shows all the love Alberto had for his audience and also because Albertone belongs to all of us. Alberto Sordi passed away on February 24, 2003. Also available on www.enzocoletta.tv
