That is, HANDS DOWN, the most beautiful person I've ever seen in my life..

And the girl standing next to him is pretty cute too.

Also... yes... Kelsey is standing on a platform ;)

I like this girl, and I like this man, and I like video games. I like you too, dear reader.

1:25 I feel like he's more famous than infamous. The gameboy overshadows any subsequent failures.

I bought one of these on the strength of this guide and I absolutely love it! I think it might be my favourite handheld in terms of aesthetics and design philosophy. It feels like the logical upgrade to Gunpei Yokoi's original ideal. It's everything portable gaming should be: it's light, small, cheap (especially the monochrome version) and it has crazy long battery life. I really wish Bandai released this console in the west. If the very competitive price point of the console had been carried over and with a big name like Mattel behind it, I think it really could have made a dent in Nintendo's handheld dominance. I only have one game so far (Digital Monster Ver. WonderSwan) but I've gone a bit nuts and ordered quite a few more and I'm super excited to play them when they arrive.

I love obscure handhelds. Pretty much the staple of my collection.

The amount of thirst in this comment section is unreal

I love how metal Jesus lights up when Kelsey starts talking about needing an older computer

Have you made poor Kelsey stand on a box??

Pretty amazing that the Wonderswan developers offered up a consumer dev kit for customers to develop their open games.
I develop in C everyday at work, so I might have to buy one and try it myself. :)

I don't know who has a better set of hair, metaljesus or Kelsey...

I dont play any old or obscure video games and for some reason I get the biggest kick out of watching this channel. Your passion for this stuff is tight!

Great episode; the Wonderswan has always been a system that I knew nothing about. It's inspired me to get the emulator up and running in Retroarch, pour myself a beer and have a bit of a Wonderswan gaming session. Hopefully some of those JRPGs unique to the system get an english translation one day too.

I was actually watching a lot of Wonderswan items on eBay, so kind of cool to get some perspective from someone who's actually gone and done it.

I'd be very interested in seeing a video where you two try & get those homebrew games working

I've been mildly interested by this console for 2 years or so, very happy to see you cover it

There's also two very fun Digimon tactical RPGs for the Wonderswan that came out in English called Andoe/Cathode Tamer. The roms are easy enough to find online with a google...

Though the cartridges themselves are next to impossible to find because they only had a limited release in a very small portion of Asia. Be careful that you aren't just buying the normal Japanese version if you choose to pursue them. There are a handful of other English titles too, though all equally rare for the same reason.

I think Kelsey is my fav mjr feature. Shes got nice vibes to her.

This seems like a dope gaming system! Old senpai Gunpai still made some cool systems. May God rest his soul in peace.
PS: He wasn't kicked out because he made the VB, he wanted to leave Nintendo for a long time, but he still wanted to make one last portable gaming system for Nintendo and leave after that and that's what he did, he made the VB and left.

Metal Jesus has some really cool guests, I love seeing new game consoles I haven't heard of xD awesome stuff

I remember seeing the original and shrugged it off as a Chinese copy of the Gameboy.  I didn't realize it was made by the former Gameboy division head.
