Its my first full day in Peshawar, Pakistan. A city that’s known as one of the friendliest in the world… but also labelled a Level 4 ‘do not travel’ zone by both the UK and US government. Not exactly the most reassuring start…
Today, we’re gonna find out what it’s actually like.
We’re heading to a cattle market, a full-on rooster bazaar, trying what people say is the best chapli kebab in Pakistan, visiting the oldest mosque in Peshawar, meeting a pigeon master and later on, I even found the cheapest hotel in the entire country (and potentially the world).
To top it off, I got stopped and interrogated by the KPK police, the outcome wasn’t ideal.
Already I’ve been offered about 15 cups of tea… so I feel like that tells you something about what this city is like.
Let’s see if this place is friendly, dangerous… or just completely misunderstood.
Please let me know if you agree or disagree with the statements I made in this video. And ask me some questions, I’ll try respond to as many as possible.
