I lived in Colorado for many many years and if I had two drinks there, it feels like four drinks in Florida where I live now. Always bring water.

Diomox for attitude sickness....start taking a day or 2 before exposure to high altitudes....It works amazing

SUPER useful information before a first trip there. Thank you both!

Great information..ty

So, I was one of those visitors probably driving everyone crazy. There wasn't a safe place to pull over! Where they did have spots, I'd take them and let others pass. Very strange to drive with constant vertigo! Had a tough time acclimating.

Visiting Colorado next summer from NJ!! Advices from you guys helped me a lot for my canyon trip this summer. Thanks again!

Great video. Excellent information. I am now subscribed.

Appreciate your informational videos

This is very practical advice!  I live in Colorado!

It's also Nevada like hat, not Nevahda like hot.
It's Oreg'n not Ore-gone. I have not gone to Oregon. The second O is silent.

It would help if the CDOT would construct some more pull outs along the highways. There are many places to pull over in the national parks and along the interstates but not so much along the state highways. We drove 20 miles going into Mancos wanting to pull over but there wasn’t any safe place to do so (at least as far as we could see). So an inpatient Colorado driver gave us the 1 finger salute when we finally did pull over. IDK about how it works in Colorado but in several states where I’ve lived such salutes very often results in some sort of violent outcome

Great Colorado overview, guys! I loved the "pronunciation" piece; because I hate sounding like a tourist, lol! We have been to 29 National Parks and have Big Bend and Glacier (your info helped me a lot in planning that one) next year. Every time I start looking into the 4 CO National Parks, I end up getting intimidated by a one week itinerary. I think we may plan similarly to how we did The Mighty 5: 2 one summer, and back the next summer for the other 3. That way we could enjoy some other stuff as well. So what do you think? Rocky Mountain and Great Sand Dunes for one trip, and Mesa Verde and Black Canyon for the second?

I've watched a lot of videos of yours a couple of yrs back before visiting Yellowstone (which was an amazing experience btw). I've lived in the US for the last 8+ yrs and I'm planning to move back to my home country soon. One regret however is not visiting Colorado. Hopefully, I come back to the US in a few yrs time and visit this place!

The five-car rule may not be written but most Colorado mountain roads have pull-out areas so slower vehicles can pull over safely and let cars behind you pass.  I wish the locals would do this more often, I do. You will often experience locals "speed checking" people on slower roads, they will drive slower than the posted limit to stop people from "speeding".  Don't be surprised if you experience that.

The pronunciation section is interesting. I lived in Colorado for years in the 70s, attended high school there, and it was definitely pronounced collar rod oh. Not collar rad O wondering if that is due to the huge number of folks moving in from other states over the years.

Hello! Do you think you could maybe make a video on certain vacation paths to take based on how many days you’ll be roadtripping? Like with hitting some different good sight seeing spots? Thank you! If not it’s okay :)

Nice video! We stayed one week in Breckenridge in September (absolutely stunning), and altitude was a big issue for my wife. And there is not much you can do about it. Every store sells oxygen spray, which helps a bit. But the only real cure is to go down, and my wife felt much better in Vail, which is almost 2000 feet below and that makes a huge difference. Drinking water, avoiding alcohol and caffeine, and just taking it easy are what you should do if going down is not an option. We absolutely loved Colorado and will return to Breck in March. Hopefully altitude won't be too much of an issue.

I'm visiting from the flattest state  - FL, in about a week.  Hopeful I won't feel too sick!

We have lived here at 7400 and never had any problems, now my dog, has breathing problems.
