Is this the ULTIMATE van for off-grid living in Australia?
This van build nearly broke me, but now that we are traveling Australia in it full time, I can honestly say it was (just) worth it. It feels like we are living in a luxury tiny-home, we've been able to take some (mild) off-road/4WD tracks, and have had enough power to run the air-con off-grid - heaven!
Like every good van build though, it went 3 x over budget, took 3 x as long as I thought, and weighed a lot more than I initially anticipated!
I'd love to know what you think in the comments, and if you have any questions I'd love to answer them!
The vehicle is a 1997 Toyota Camroad 4WD Manual LY161 with 120,000km
I also have an episode where I go over some of the more unique materials I used in this build, and have a link to EVERYTHING I used that you can download for free below.
