Historically the Labour party represented this type of English person. Now they're a party, rightly or wrongly, that give off an impression of being liberal, wealthy people who are more concerned about social justice causes rather than focusing on the average man or woman on the street. As I say, this is the perception they give off.
Farage is also a wealthy man who has never been working class. But he knows how to talk to people who feel as though Labour and Conservative politicians don't care about them.
The people in these comments who seem to take great pleasure in calling these people idiots are only contributing to the hopelessness felt by many working class British folk.
