Hearing those voices is so powerfully nostalgic.  Pat Summerall calling with the murmur of the crowd as background noise.  It filled our house on Sunday afternoons in the Fall throughout my childhood, whether actively watching with a group of friends, or passively listening from another room.  You don't realize when you're young how something you don't think at all about in the moment, will stop you in your tracks and make you smile later in life.

For the people who weren’t able to witness these days in football missed out royally

Thanks for this strike game!  We loved our D.C. replacement team!

The only name I remembered from this game is LoveLady.  I was too young to understand the player strike

This 38-12 final score is the only time in NFL history that a game (regular season or playoffs) has finished with such a score.

I'm so stupid sometimes, watching this game and I absolutely watched it live, couldn't understand how I didn't know most of these players, and its a SCAB game.  Oh, I remember the Dallas and the Cardinals game didn't remember this one.

Love to see the game where they both meet up in Washington.

Eddie Rupert , Clarkstown North Grad!
I remember having him as a student Gym teacher . Nice man, loved to talk about the NY Rangers .

Interesting game, looks like the hitting is pretty good.

This is awesome. Thank you!

Brilz, Gage, Woodberry, Caravello, McEwen and Allen ended up sticking with the Skins...

I was at this game! Cheering for the Scabskins!

Moore should have made the All Madden Team that year.

The Scabs!

I was at the Giants next game (and the final scab game) at Buffalo near the end zone. Lawrence Taylor and Jeff Rutledge played that game and the Giants still fell to 0-5. I hope someone uploads that game some day. Primarily to possibly see myself when the Giants kicked a field goal (their only score of the game).

I looked at the thumbnail and thought there was no #20 on the 1987 skins team.  Oh yeah… strike team.

Just goes to show you Gibbs / Bethard could put a  quality  squd together no matter where they were from !! Wr.#89 ALLEN Rb#26 Wilson were my favorites !! HTTR.
