It’s so crazy watching this 16 years later when all that sacrifice wound up being for nothing and the Taliban run the country now

The absolute waste of these wars.... unreal we're still doing this to each other in 2026

I was in Kandahar in 2007 and as a Canadian infantryman, we would get attached to Marine platoons and different US Army and British platoons. All were and are great men. It’s crazy to look back and wonder what it was really all about out.

One more thing….this quote resonates….”War is a place where young people who don’t know each other, and don’t hate each other, kill each other, by the decision of older rulers who know each other and hate each other, but don’t kill each other.” -Unk

General is saying the Afghani allies are all motivated to kill the Talis... They literally have to be forced through a door.

Pisses me off to see this was all done for nothing. We lost Marines and innocent civilians for this crap.

What a colossal waste this whole situation turned out to be. The American government cares absolutely nothing about its citizens whatsoever.

This documentary was filmed and made by British war journalist and film-maker Ben Anderson. He's made many amazing documentaries, some embedded with the British forces.

''They think they are helping - but they are making it worse'' ..... Never were more true words spoken. Poor people

Man said "who are the taliba? but sons of this land. they are not foreigners" in other words these are our sons, our nephews etc. You can see even the locals were not interested in this basesless foreign war. as a matter of fact they refused to be recruited into the national military by the marines. This tells you the whole story..

Thank you for showing us the footage

Avoiding "civilian" casualties at all costs in a war where there are no true non-combatants. And those dudes just sitting around watching while their fellow Marine is struggling out of the ditch, with only one dude helping him. WTF?

How much war has changed in a short time. People are still losing their lives just in different ways. One day I hope we will learn from our mistakes 🤞

I don't see any infantry using drones. The war in Ukraine has changed things.

All wars end up a dumpster fire of chaos and death and innocents being the primary victims.

Wars are allways caused by banks, shareholders, oil, minerals, and pay taxes for the weapons and they even have the nerve to make life more expensive for us while they fill their pockets, And we? We aloud it to let the elite do this over and over again, Based on lies.
