This is GOLD. Solid GOLD. This is a 10 out of 10.

REM used to cover See No Evil in concert. That's my first Television exposure. From REM. They also covered Mission Of Burma, Pylon, Velvet Underground, Roger Miller, Glenn Campbell, Aerosmith, Troggs, Wire, and whoever originally did Superman

A superb debut album 77-82 is one of the best in music

I’m almost 60 and just got into these guys a few months ago! They were big in the early days of CBGB. Really digging them. Cheers.

I heard Television a couple years ago and today this band seems to me incredibly stronger and more creative than before. Verlaine is a really impressionist/symbolist artist

Marquee Moon is second best guitar solo of all time IMO

There are three songs I distinctly remember when and where I heard them for the first time: Born To Run, The Low Sparks Of High Heeled Boys and Marquee Moon.

"Marquee Moon"...the "Stairway To Heaven" of post punk rock.

Tom Verlaine was the Jerry Garcia of punk. RIP to both of them! 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

Their second album 'Adventure' is really good aswell (and in my opinion, better).

Also check out Talking Heads, they have a very similar vibe to Television.

Those who like this album should check out Magazine- particularly their album “the correct use of soap.” A similar artsy take on post punk

One of my all-time favorite albums! I highly recommend their earlier single "Little Johnny Jewel"

Saw them in London possibly with Talking Heads way back in the 70s - brilliant stuff!
