The story began with a Chinese child shivering inside a shelter during the Japanese bombings of 1937, and ended with a modern fighter jet competing with the world’s most advanced Western aircraft.

In this episode of “Arsenal,” we follow the story of the Chinese J-10 fighter jet, or “Jian-10,” from its inception in modest factories dismantling Soviet technology, to its appearance in clashes between India and Pakistan in 2025.
How did China build one of the most important fourth-generation fighters? Why did its development take decades of trials, failures, and redesigns? And what propelled it suddenly into the heart of the competition with aircraft like the French Rafale and the Russian MiG?

A journey into the world of air superiority, military engineering, and the struggle for dominance in Asia… where the skies are no longer the exclusive domain of Moscow and Washington, but the Chinese dragon has earned its place among the giants.
