you can see this is an old game, because there is nothing in the menu saying "season pass, dlc, visit the store, unlock premium"

we took this quality for granted

Some games are just a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks Faith

17 years and counting, what a masterpiece this OST is

This song always sounded like a bright light.

Ahhh yes the times before we knew just how Evil EA was

R.I.P
Dead Space
Mirror's Edge
Dragon Age
Mass Effect

Never has an OST captured the soul of a game as perfectly as this one

This menu is better than most games today.

take me back...please

The Artist that made the OST goes by the name "Solar Fields" on music streaming platforms, if you want more of this style of music, he has some great work!

2008....  the age of dreams and promise that was somewhere out there

I'll never experience this again - but I can relive it in my mind. Listening to this takes me back to a time when everything was so exciting and new. Being here now feels so lonely and sad but at the same time, beautiful and poetic. Truly one of the better games and soundtracks ever made - thanks to (the OG) DICE and Solar Fields.

I miss those days :( Friends where around, dad was alive, had girlfriends, games where awesome and groundbreaking

didnt understand greed till i witnessed it destroy everything i ever loved

Golden Era of gaming

This was such a vibe back then. In many ways it did cyberpunk dystopia better many other games that came after and before, because it more closely resembles our own messed up world. The city is beautiful, clean, gorgeous, shiny even. Everything appears perfect and normal but in reality, you know it is far, far from that. Its towering monoliths of concrete, glass and steel may appear bright and hopeful, but in reality they represent the corruption, inequality and decay of society we have come to accept and take for granted.

I might ramble but I'll be damned if I didn't think hard about its philosophical implications and messages while vaulting over gaps and sliding across glass windows in the game.

this game got me into parkour.. the first sport I was actually interested in. eventually I started making youtube videos that reached 200 millions minutes watched for only 12 videos. thanks for everything Mirror’s Edge team 🙏🏻 what a game

We went from this masterpiece in 2008 to the shallow gaming industry of today, which offers little that is remarkable or unique, all while locking content behind paywalls.

For the record, the artist is Solar Fields.  Their music is fantastic if you want a futuristic vibe, and not just from this OST

dude this game is phenomenal. it's still just as good 17 years later
