A $600,000 Saleen S7 was buried deep in a Florida mud flat, exposed for barely two hours before the tide swallowed it again.

Our first recovery attempt failed. On the second tide window, we finally broke the mud's grip and got the supercar out.

But cleaning it revealed something nobody expected: this wasn't a factory-built Saleen S7.

Then we found a handwritten message hidden inside.
