Funny I watched Heartstopper Forever first then binged the three series over a week, then watched the film again. Smitten by Heartstopper. It was clever the break up, as to me it was miscommunication and Nick didn't seem to hear Charlie say "I don't want to break up". As you say there was a bit of role change as it was Charlie who broke the ice. I'm 61 if only there was Nick Nelson in 1979 😁😁😁

As a straight 60 yr old I have watched the 3 series twice and the film. I am so impressed. These young actors are excellent in every way. This has changed my attitude. An excellent love affair. Why do we not accept people of how they are!

A very well-reasoned analysis.  Spot on x

A very well put together analysis. Thank you. The phrase “all of it comes due at once” is exactly right, and you understand the ways in which structural elements give the narrative real pace.

Tori's comment was an inside joke. Alice's first book she wrote was about Tori and she was asexual in the book. Then Alice wrote heartstoppers. I laughed at that comment.

Nick e Charlie Forever! Narlie Forever!
