I loved the line in The Mandalorian regarding Sarlac.
"It's made it's nest in that Abandoned Sarlac pit."
"That's not possible, Sarlac's don't abandon their pits."
"They do if you eat the Sarlac."

I remember having a toy of the Acklay as a kid along with the Reek and Nexu. For years I played with them normally until eventually I got older. As a teenager I found the toy again and discovered there was a hidden stomach hole in the Acklay that contained its guts. I spent years playing with it and had no idea the play feature for the toy was “gutting it.” lmao

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the fact that a group of porgs is called a murder.

Alex intentionally left the Dragonsnake from Empire Strikes Back off this list because he called it a Dragonserpent in trivia one year, and that got him eliminated. He still hasn't forgiven it.

Could you do an Essential Senator list, please? I would love to know more about the Senators during the Clone Wars.

Need Star Wars Explained or Disney+ series narrated by Sir David Attenborough about Star Wars creatures.

Tauntauns will always be my FAV creature from Star Wars. I recall being so enamored with them as a kid, I played with my tauntaun often without any action figure

FYI, every creature listed here is sentient as they feel things like pain. Most creatures (except some invertebrates that don't have a central nervous system) are considered sentient. Any time you said sentient, you were going for sapient, which means having greater intelligence, communication, self-awareness, etc. On Earth, humans are the only unambiguously sapient species, but other species show characteristics associated with sapience and sapience is somewhat of a spectrum.
