PLEASE keep making more of these, as someone who is fairly new and plays Lurtz/Ugluk Scouts this helped a ton!

Lurtz lurtz lurtz

I really enjoy these segments. Gives me perspective on armies I don't play or had intended to play

Really enjoying this series! Great to see my favourite wolves getting some attention

Enjoying this series a lot!

I will disagree with the take on the Orc Captains though. Starting with Snaga, you’re losing access to March, a shield and one extra Orc for a chance to get an extra Might and the ability to occasionally ignore a Move (which you can only use by turning off your 5+ Might regen as far as I can tell). Given that you need to spend his Might first and then have someone else call the Moves while he’s within 6”, you’re only statistically likely to have an extra Might if there are four consecutive Moves called, three within 6” of him. Given how much this list likes to spread out, that’s surprisingly annoying. And even if you get one free Might, you’re back to where you were last edition (or actually worse, because you couldn’t have benefited from his cheeky ability to ignore Moves during that time) and last edition he was widely considered to be trash. Given that the shield, extra model and access to March are all genuine pickups that get used most games (in my experience at least), I think the conditional extra Might doesn’t feel worthwhile.

Grishnakh is a harder question, because he is legitimately better than an Orc Captain thanks to Backstabbers. Strike is pretty niche from F4 these days, and I struggled to really find any situations where it was better than saving the Might for duel/wound rolls. And as you pointed out, he’s not often fighting alone, so his other rule is pretty mediocre. But Backstabbers is nice, so I could see an argument for him. He is an extra 10 points though for a model that is fundamentally doing the same thing as the Orc Captain though, and again that’s 1-2 models. And when I have fielded him, I have found myself somewhat-often wishing I had the shield or access to March.

In total, taking the two named heroes loses you 2-3 models, and while that’s obviously not the end of the world (46 models at 600 is still great), it also doesn’t feel like you’re getting a heap for that. I’ve been running just the cheap Captains in my last few dozen games with the list, and I’m honestly not sure I’ve had a game where I would have preferred to have the named heroes along

LOVE this video series; please keep 'em coming! Cheers!

I hesitate more giving spears to orcs knowing my ultimate goal is not to use them for support but getting in close to get animosity

Hi. The cool isenguard list's.

These are great!  Keep em coming.  I don't get much time to play or list build, so having an idea of what can make the army competitive, and at what level, is massively helpful

Great series boys! Really love the way you talk about the armies and how to use them. Keep it up!

Thank y'all for this, I hope you will do this for any army even though it's a lot of work

57:59 I got lucky, bought wargs before the past 2 price rises. 48 warg riders, maybe spent $200.

nice video, I would love to see Army of the White Hand

Am I the only one that is lukewarm on the Scout Captain because he has no choice but to use his 2-handed weapon?
In a list with no spear support, I feel the forced use of 2hander can more often than not be a drawback.

I got to disagree with only 1 banner in lurtz scouts I think without spear support having that second banner means Uruk hai with that re roll essentially giving you that much needed second dice at the 600 - 650 mark

Isengard so much damn fun this edition. The only reason I've not played much of these awesome lists is because the other Isengard lists have Berserkers!

i did infact buy 50 wargs

Looking forward to your opinions on battle of fornost. I think it is the anti eagle list were all looking for while still being solid at fighting other things too

List building for Lurtz Scouts: at higher points games (650+) is it a good idea to bring a second drummer? Only D5 and 1 fate is not very safe, so is it worth having a second just to make sure you always have at least 1 up and operational?

Only problem with this is series is I'm starting a new army every week!
