The most important thing in life will always be family -- Dom Toretto.

This makes it seem like Apple Bloom is a teenager, kinda wish that was the canon for this fic. The attitude, the argument, the way she wants to leave and explore life for herself, granny possibly dying as she ages. Such a great fic

Poor AB got her mark at the worst time possible. It is supposed to be a happy moment, and she got hers when she realized her sister was unable to hold her breath long enough.

I started crying, this was so sad and so good. Her cutie mark that was supposed to be on of her happiest moments is now going to be the constant reminder of when Apple Jack drowned and Apple Bloom failed to save her...

I’ve watched hundreds of videos about missing people and tragic stories but this is what gets me tearing up, this really got me in the feels. I did basically did what Applebloom was going to do in real life, I was young I used to spend every  weekend at my grandma’s but once my dad realised her memory was starting to fade my dad decided to stop that arrangement, it wasn’t long after that was put in a care home, I never visited her because I was terrified of seeing my grandma in a week state, not recognising me, not knowing who I was or all the things we’d done, she passed suddenly one day and I never got to say goodbye or thanks for all the good times, and I’ll live with that regret for the rest of my life.

Grimdarks and creepy pastas don't scare me, but these can make me bawl my eyes out like a baby

"But Big Mac can't even read!"

Excuse me...what? 😅

I relate to Applebloom the most in this. I understand not wanting to watch a beloved family member slowly die, and wanting to get away from it. Sadly, as a very little kid, I didn't have much say in the matter. This happened with my great grandma. I relate to Applebloom with this

If there was a story where I said " No you fool, don't try to be a hero", it's here, scared that Applebloom will waste Applejack's sacrifice.

Does Apple Bloom now take over as the Element of Honesty?
I always figured if Apple Jack, Rarity and or Rainbow Dash fell, their sisters would carry on their legacy.
I imagine Equestria would be more chaotic in those early years, but it would do a lot to mold warriors.

Does Applejack and Applebloom have the best sibling bond in the MLP FIM show?

This story reading made my entire body feels frozen from the sheer emotional distress this gave me, which is really cool and scary to me. Thanks for bringing light to this story! It's a perfectly haunting story. One where there isn't a good ending, one where trauma may latch on to AB and allows a lot of speculation after the story ends.

I wasn't able to go to my grandpa last days or his funeral. He couldn't talk or was asleep most the time, barely living by. One regret I have is not able to say goodbye, and all those times I didn't want to talk to him because I always could whenever I wanted so I didn't cherish it as hard as Mt parents do.... guess I kinda learned a lesson, a hard one. And that's to try to make time for those around you, no matter how old or young they are, because if they mean the world, they can be taken out from it in an instant and you'll never be able to get them back again. Only hallucinations and dreams, but it's not the real thing...

How I wish I could hallucinate and physically see my dog, my grandpa, everyone and pet I'd like to say goodbye to and see them later and hug them for just a moment, taking in their embrace back and cherishing it, even if it's just it's just a hallucination. To me it wouldn't be.

Emotional damage lol. This was so good. The beginning parts hit close to home for me. Really well written and the voice acting was so powerful

I can’t imagine the pain that Big Mac is going to feeling after he finds AJ, what would he say to the others… I’ve got a bad feeling AB went on the train.

This might be...one of the most...emotional stories I've ever read. That one part literally broke me into pieces. I wish AppleBloom was there to save her sister in time, but to no avail. Scribbler? This story...was so good, and sad at the same time.

She drowned, I thought apple bloom wold save her life but she didn't make it down in time. I'm really sad now,my hart feels like it took a punch.
I'd swear but I'm better then that
I'm just really sad omg I'm gonna think about this.

That was really well written and beautifully read. Starting to wonder now if all the Apples earned their cutie marks by experiencing familial trauma.

To keep my sanity I think the noise of the train means that there's someone was on the tracks that could be Applejack who knows maybe when Apple Bloomer found her she was almost close to death and you know when it turned to Black the elements of harmony saved her

Gotta admit, this is probably the best reading I've heard from you, yet Scribbler. The author did a fantastic job, and the audio and voice acting is heart wrenching. It hurts, but I love it.

I forgot I watched this, I think it may have been on purpose as it is familiar to me. It seems like Apple Bloom does not want to face the inevitable death of her grandmother, the loss of someone so critical, who most likely is just as much as a mother as Applejack is to her. As someone who has lost their 'grandmother who was a mother to her' and was not with her in her last moments, I can say, the guilt for not being there has weighed heavily on my mind.
