My TLR Mamiyas made me a real photographer. I had a NYC studio on Broadway at 26th all through the 60s and 70s. Thousands of jobs in many venues. There are accessories that are very well thought out if you can find them. I have the top-magnifier hood, prism finder, just about every lens, and the parallax corrector. Every one is worth having once you get into the C Series. Please believe me when I say a tripod or monopod will make even greater results. It's the edge sharpness that only those lenses can provide. PLEASE! Don't crank out your bellows all the way! They crack at the 'points' making tiny light leaks and NOBODY I know of will touch the repair. I don't even think there are custom bellows makers anymore either. That size negative can really get you into very fine understanding of exposure with a handheld meter... if you want to go there. Incredible gradations in your final work. That may also take you into the darkroom. Where I started with a lab, they couldn't keep up with what I came to be wanting because of my Mamiyas. Some would think it was the negative size, but against my Rolli and a Hasselblad test purchase, it was those lenses. Don't let anybody re-coat them. I'm so happy for you and what you're experiencing. I'll just comment that people go crazy about what I get out of my phone camera today. I bought my phone for its most manual camera. It's the knowledge!  ...and the Mamiya gave it to me. I bought a Mamiya C33 in the Ulm Germany PX in 1968  - the sharpest and best Camera I ever Owned!  Twin Lens and they were Interchangeable!

I used to have a Mamiya RB67 Pro S and a Mamiya ZE2 with which I learned a lot about photography. I now have a Mamiya C330 Pro S with a number of lenses. I have always been a fan of system cameras. The C series TLRs are workhorses. Being proper medium format, the quality is a lot better than digital, including the Hasselblad everyone is going on about - it only has a 44x33mm sensor which is tiny, compared to medium format.

Mamiya TLRs are also great conversation starters.  They are works of art in their own right.

Wedding photographers back in the days shoot these TLRs with a Metz or Sunpak hammerhead flash attached, dial the power output accordingly to the scene and you don’t even need to use a light meter.

All the Mamiya cameras are very good to spectacular. Good video on an underrated brand for those not in the know.

As an ex- wedding photographer I love your work and the colours pop. I used a Hassleblad with a 80 & 150mm lenses along with a couple of Nikons. That was in the film days, 220 portra or fiji 400. I`m glad you younger photographers have embraced film & cameras, keep up the great work.

My TLR is a  Yashica - A.  Which I got for my 13th Birthday brand new.   It's  totally manual.   My favorite thing about Cameras like this. Is developing the Film. And printing the Photos in the Darkroom.     Keep Doing what you're Doing

I picked up one of these at a garage sale with three lenses for $140.00. Two of the lenses had sticky shutters, but is was a simple fix with a little alcohol to clean out the hard grease. I did a comparison between my Rollie TLR on similar subjects. The Rollie optics are really crisp, and contrasty. The C3 glass is just about as sharp, but the "bokeh" is really fascinating at wide open. Also, the C3 has a much closer range that most TLRs have. I love macro.

Oh! you brought back so much memories because the Mamiya was my dream camera which I was never able to afford or justify the price. Indeed, this was a camera for the professional photographer which I never was. I learned photography from my dad using a Voightlander with 120 films, then on his beloved Leica purchased in the early 1950s. Both of those cameras are in my possession today and both in great working condition. Many thanks for this wonderful video and I hope your Mamiya will give you many years of usage.

I agree with your opinion on the Mamiya c33. It is very heavy, however so I picked up the lighter C220 since I carried it for miles and do not need the C3 features. The 80mm is indeed the most useful lens. Yashica makes a pretty good inexpensive TLR, too. All TLRs are known for the ability to shoot low shutter speeds handheld,

This video reminds me of when I used to film weddings with my Hasselblad 500 C/M. 6x6 format. There was nothing like it. All the mechanical sounds it made. From flipping up the waist level finder to cranking the film advance lever. To see this young lady be able to film a wedding with that C3 just took me back 30 years. Now I'm going to find me a C330 and go out and just have some fun with some E6 film. Thanks young lady for the trip to the past.

I had this one when I went to photography school, in the late seventies 🙂

I bought my C220 when I was a kid of about 16.  It is  50 years ago now!.  I still have it and it still works!  They are great cameras especially the later C330f.  I shot a lot of Tri-X with it!

I had a Mamiya C330S with three lenses and a grip and I loved it. Looking into that reversed image WLF was special. I also liked my Yashica 635 TLR with its "characterful" worn edged WLF. Much missed. ☹️

The Mamiya C3.  I had three of these with several lenses from around 1990 which I used for weddings, as well as my own personal photography for some 30 years.  Great cameras and lenses - big and heavy, but robust and never let me down at any time!  I enjoyed your very positive video.

I am a Leica M film camera user for more than 20 years with MP, M2, M3 M7 and the last one MA, but I juste bought a Rolleiflex 2.8F and I love it.❤
I only made 3 rolls but it is such a great experience and such a complementary tool to the M.👍
I totally understand that you are in love with your Mamya C3, so am I with my Rolleiflex.🤝
