Even he said that he was "A Ford, not a Lincoln"

Ford believed healing the nation was more important than his presidency. I applaud that type of sacrificial leadership.

Thank you. 🕊️🇺🇸🌍🇺🇸🕊️

Thanks for the upload

Gerald Ford was a good man and a good president. He was very underrated.  I supported him in the both the GOP primary and in the general elction in 1976.

I think he gives very honest and good answers to these questions. President Ford was needed after 5 years of Nixon.

24:08. His future press secretary - Ron Nessen - was in the audience and had asked a question earlier.

Ford's press conferences would've been something like this 'til the end of his administration had he not pardoned his predecessor.  As you can see, many of the questions asked pertained to Nixon's problems and not to the country's problems.

9:23 That voice definitely doesn't match that reporter.

He was the president that was necessary for those 29 months as was Carter for the 4 years after. Both of them healed our wounds and treaded a moderate path n domestically to heal the Warerfate and Vietnam eras and put those chapters in the past

It’s easy to criticize the job, it’s not easy to do the job.

He did the right thing. He read the country accurately back then.
Nixon had no clue whatsoever of any plans to break into the Democratic office at the Watergate building and if anyone would have given him advanced notice of it, he would have nixed it right then and there. That's what I think. Nixon's trouble was his inability to read the public's feelings of the crime accurately. As things started heating up, his perception of what the public wanted to resolve the issue was woefully off course. He pursued a strategy that kept backfiring though he had nothing to do with the beak-in. His resignation was a culmination of that.
President Ford kept an arm's length professionally from him throughout the ordeal so that he could make unbiased decisions.

President Ford was the RIGHT man for the job during the time that he served. I believe that President Ford was / is very underrated.

History isn't being kind to Ford after 50 years.

Come on Mr Ford, the US government was not involved in the coup against Allende in chile ?
You are kidding 😂😂

President Ford was a very decent and honorable man. His integrity was genuine.

Is Ford's executive order concerning the privacy of a person's income tax still valid in 2025?

YOU KNOW HOW TO HEAL A NATION, YPU ASK GOD,S FORGIVENESS AND YOU REPENT AS A NATION THAN GOD CAN HEAL A NATION OTHERWISE JUDGEMENT COMES, THIS I GARANTEE YOU. AMERICA NEEDS TO REPENT NOWIN 2022.

Oh boy, his answers about the Chilean coup have not aged well….

Mr. President there have been much more serious wounds to heal at the White House since then. In comparison Richard Nixon would receive the Nobel Peace Price for great leadership. Except the President would say no thank you, can find incompetent leaders and you may give it to anyone of them. GHU JW
