You have removed the biggest concern with with these cars breaking it down so in depth and simple. Guys dumping these cars will regret it greatly in 20 years and handling their key flaw for 2 grand to keep them on the road is awesome. One day these cars will cost six figures again.

Idk if I can trust the engineers at BMW considering they let these issues fly under their watch when designing these engines. Should've turned to Toyota for some help with reliability

I just bought a 2006 M5, the engine was replaced 23,000 km ago, the owner actually ground down the crank and machined the oil valleys to solve the problem.

I have been doing blackstone analysis for 3 years. Very low copper and aluminum in my tests. I use 5w-50 Castrol synthetic and do a thorough warm up. I also believe that most people do not monitor the levels properly. I am at 74k mi so far. Just food for thought
