A day trip from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko (Lake Kawaguchi) in search of Mt. Fuji.

The weather was bright, but Mt. Fuji remained hidden behind thick clouds. We explored some of Lake Kawaguchi’s most scenic viewpoints—including Ubuyagasaki, Nagasaki Park, and Oishi Park—while waiting for the mountain to appear.

Along the way, we stopped at Dangozaka Service Area and tried Yamanashi’s famous hoto noodles at Hoto Kura Funari near Lake Kawaguchi.

Will we get to see Mt. Fuji before it’s time to head home?
