There were no celebrations as such. People were happy and that's about it.

The bigger concern is why an experienced bowler like Cummins would choose too bat first on a green top (sus)

It is not any upset at all. We knew what our bowlers are capable of from the last 3/4 years.

We Bangladeshis don't care cricket as much as football now. We didn't even celebrate of our country winning. Just happy about what we have achieved. It's nothing like winning a WC..and to be honest many doesn't even know that we are playing test match against Australia 😂

It will be an insult to call it an upset, as it was not a one day cricket match. Bangladesh very skilfully stifled Australia session by session for four consecutive days. Australia should be thankful to their batsmen Cameron Green who ton allowed Bangladesh to bat again. This has been a long constructed program by Bangladesh that came into fruition. Credit goes to entire coaching staffs, players and boards. Special mention goes to Alan Donald who sparked Bangladesh’s vision to create fast ballers, who would have ability to play in foreign bouncy pitches. But I can understand why it is called an huge upset for people suddenly seeing this. I never thought I would see a time in my life time, when Bangladesh fast ballers would outperform an Aussie fast balling unit (as happened in the first inning), and the entire team would contribute in a such an intense level.

Bangladesh are hardly a rookie cricket nation.

True, this is an upset but Sri Lanka winning a Test series in South Africa is the greatest upset so far, no other Asian team including India & WI after so many attempts have not done this marvel.India & Pak have already won matches in Australia so this is not a new record in a proper sense.

This guy Isam needs to STFU. I did not see a single guy celebrate this win in the street, let alone exchange sweets.

It’s a huge win, but there were no celebrations as such. There are more things to worry about in Bangladesh currently.

Bro don't call it upset, boz where Bangladesh dominated for 3 consecutive days, how can u call it upset? It's a test match, not a T20 match, that u call upset, Bangladesh didn't let Australia go up a season in 4 days,u can't call it upset,,

thanks for bringing on a journo from Bangladesh instead of a rando from India

I quite reject this epic victory being constantly dubbed ‘a huge upset’. It was nothing of the sort.
Bangladesh has been playing impressive Test cricket for at least the last 2 years.
This full-strength Australian test side is very over- rated. They have only benefitted in recent years from all the other international Test teams playing average to lousy cricket. Even India has slipped a notch or two below their best.
Bangladesh didn’t sneak through with a victory in a closely-fought match in Darwin. They dominated, from start to finish. And made Australia look Ike the ordinary side it really is.
Now, the crucial thing for Bangladesh is to get over the euphoria, settle down, stay strong and go all out to win the second test, too - and, hopefully sweep the series.
