Suspended Deputy National Commissioner Lt-Gen Shadrack Sibiya appeared in the Randburg Magistrate's Court for his bail application, where the SAPS investigating officer read her affidavit and told the court he allegedly phoned the complainant while a docket was being opened and that Bishop Maumela allegedly called the complainant after his arrest. The officer also said Sibiya allegedly told police "I have dealt with 121 dockets and I thought I have won" and had written to the NDPP before his arrest, and that a police sergeant allegedly accessed the police case system, with no link to Sibiya shown. Sibiya denies the charges, and the defence began cross-examining the officer on whether the Madlanga Commission's task team had the mandate to investigate the complaint. #shadracksibiya
