Letícia Pinto Oliveira is 45 years old and a native of Tubarão, Santa Catarina. The daughter of a teacher who worked three shifts to support her three children, she grew up in her maternal grandparents' home, in a simple family. At 15, she started working and, very young, still a teenager, became the mother of Vinícius and Arthur.

After the separation and with the support of her family, she resumed her studies. Working and studying at night, she graduated in Letters in 2010, and years later, returned to university to study Pedagogy, which she completed in 2023. For 15 years she has worked in education and balanced a 60-hour work week with the dream of achieving a permanent public career.

In 2022, after failing a grade, she changed her study habits. She found Gran (a Brazilian online learning platform) and began studying in any free time she could find: during lunch breaks, in the car, and between classes. In 2026, she passed three competitive exams for the Santa Catarina State Department of Education, ranking among the top 10 in all of them.

And she left the first exam already believing in the result. During the break between the afternoon exams, she bought the dress she would wear to her inauguration. A few days later, while celebrating Valentine's Day in Florianópolis at a Zé Ramalho concert, the messages started arriving: Letícia had been ranked in all three areas. She and George, her boyfriend, hugged, jumped, and cried together.

Now, the Gran student awaits her appointment to a permanent position in public education after 15 years as a temporary teacher, always worried that one day things might not work out.
