Thanks for watching my channel and I look forward to your thoughts! 🤘

Thanks for the shoutout! Some of the songs are, indeed, obvious, but there are some things they don't make clear, like the fate of the love interest in 'Stalker'. And angsty emo, yes, Pau says she was clearly going through that phase when she wrote this.

Great analysis of the album, part one.  Dany was just 18 years old at the time. And Ale just a baby at 13.  The fact that Paulina at age 16 (or younger) comes up with a concept album idea and they stick to it until it is an entire album of great songs is special.  By the way, it’s in their second language! Ha ha. 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼

3 things to keep in mind for this concert:

At this point,  Dany was an outstanding vocalist in the studio,  but live she put emotion far above accuracy or technique back then.  She later learned far more advanced vocal technique.

Secondly, she is in character throughout this concert as the queen... and we can hear her character's mental state deteriorate progressively through the show.

Oh and the altitude was very high here which makes singing very difficult for those near water level like they are.

Stalker from this concert is gold.

The idea behind Dust to Dust is that we're at the main character's funeral (hense the preacher), and her ghost is inviting us to hear her story.

Ale does some free style bass before the signature intro . .at this show . .
Rarely do we see it . .

You're my favourite reactor to The Warning for sure. No sugar coating, profound opinions, great attention to detail! Looking forward to pt. 2!

"I'm into this", "I'm obsessed"; that sums up my whole impression of The Warning in general. Really appreciate the analysis and reaction. Great comments.

Know that "Stalker" is where the initial murder takes place - when Dany is screaming to love her - and the very last haunting verse she is singing to his corpse.   So much fun!

I find it nearly impossible to choose a favorite Warning album but this album is definitely their most impressive in my opinion because it's a concept album and they nailed it. The facts that it was only their 2nd album and that they were so young when they wrote it just makes it all the more impressive. I really hope they bring back the whole album live from time to time when it hits key anniversaries!

Regarding religion, I do not see The Warning as being overtly religious. But that does not mean they completely avoid occasional religious imagery. The sisters did attend an all-girls Catholic School. It is part of their background, part of the culture since Mexico is predominantly Roman Catholic.

Not that it matters all that much, my parents were Roman Catholic and I also attended Catholic schools (in the USA). However, in my case the religion part didn't stick. But it did provide me with a good education.

I grew up on rock opera.    nothing slightly comical or campy about stalker.   It's Andrew lloyd webber level writing.   I'm glad you realized this by the time i finished typing lol

The extended outro for Dust to Dust has been added explicitly to run into Dull Knives just for more recent performances - the songs belong apart of course when played in the context of the album story.

A little hint of the murder in Stalker is that at the beginning the lyrics are "you'll be mine" and at the end they become "you are mine"

If I listen Red Hands Never Fade in the morning. I’ll be singing “to tell you to Tell me to Tell You That It’s Alright” all day long.

Yes, the murder is only implicit in the delivery of the lyrics.  The deed only becomes clearer with the title of the next song ‘Red Hands Never Fade’ (the mistake that can not be corrected)

Great stuff, man! Crimson Queen is one of my favorites. So haunting. I'm really glad you came around on Stalker too. The feed back that you hear was recorded by Dany using her guitar, and is played in the backtrack. I think the performance in this particular show is what sold the song for me. My theory is that she's stabbing him during the "want you to LOVE me, TOUCH me..." section of the song. Looking forward to part 2 ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Enjoyed your reaction!!🔥😊⚡️

I believe the girls in their vlog when they explained their take on the place of dust to dust in the song order in fact was that it's the epilogue being given as the prologue but it also for them meant that the journey and the cycle is full circle and repeating. the last line of the album is after all, "and we shall start again". you know what it's obvious that their family have some minimal religiosity regularly in their lives. but I wouldn't call them a Christian band. and also there's another part of the plot that not everyone picks up on and it took me a bit but there's a description somewhere as well which is that death gets pissed off at her because she's doing his job I mean this is the most brilliant album ever.
