My priest, on Sunday said something that made me cry in the middle of mass and after taking the Eucharist. He said, “Jesus was baptised because He is right there with us, in the water as we are reborn in Him. He stands beside us in our sin.” I don’t know why this moved me. Maybe the realisation that Jesus, through the Holy Spirit is beside me. Not in some far off kingdom. But right here. I don’t know. I felt Him in that moment. And I’m so thankful that he stands beside me in my sin and that His mercy washes me clean. Daily. I need it. Daily. A more imperfect creature I have not met. But God. Thank you. 😭

I am an old woman who was received into the Catholic Church this past Easter after 62 years of varying degrees of anti Catholic evangelical Pentecostalism. This is the absolute best teaching on the baptism of our Lord that I have ever heard. Remember, if you see baptism as a symbol as I did, Jesus’ baptism really makes no sense. You can say, it’s an example for us.” But…why? What’s the tie in? Everything Jesus did was a fulfillment. What is the fulfillment of his baptism except being washed for sacrifice? I could almost see literal fog rolling away as I listened. Thank you Kenny. I have always considered you a valuable resource, but this teaching put you over the top. I can see why God called you to preach. God bless you, your family, and your ministry.

I love a saying I heard. I know it does not mean everyone, but I think it's true of you. Weak Catholics become protestants, and strong protestants become Catholics. So glad to have you on our team.

Thanks to Kenny’s influence, I’m having my first-grade catechism class recite/memorize: “The crucified, buried, risen Jesus is Lord of the whole universe. And if you believe in this and follow Jesus, then you are being saved by Jesus.”

To think my parish Priest was giving us a passage from a James Martin book on the Feast of the Baptism of Jesus. The actual meaning of this incredible feast I just learnt from YouTube. Thank God for Jesus who is reaching us through the Internet. Thank God for the conversion of Pastor Kenny!

Thank you Kenny I’ve learned so much from you, I wish all our youth could have someone teach them the way you teach. We would definitely have stronger Catholics.

I was reading my ACTION BIBLE yesterday and reread the part of Judges where left handed Ehud defeats the moabites… while wading knee deep in the Jordan River ! I just kept thinking of the baptism which once again we see throughout salvation history of God freeing his people by the saving waters

Wonderful teaching. Everything you said is in the bible. I think if you add chapter and verse for our protestant watchers, it would be very helpful to them. Thank you, and God bless.

Thank you very much for this teaching. Although I speak French, your English is understandable for a non English speaking person like me. Thank you again
