First, the senile, beyond battle Gurach Kjaraz defeated Sauron and took the ring, and now the decrepit and mad Denethor has acquired his mighty gift.

Turns out the trick to defeating Sauron is to send a crazy old man with an army after him.

TGL Apprecciation Comment, thanks for sparing us the logistics of decluttering the armies m8, and also thanks for the short summary of what you'd done,
tbh im amazed ya didn't just cheated em back to position. You sir are an example of consistency and sheer willpower !

Mate I've been refreshing waiting for this one.   Lets go !! Bring it on!!

34:00 The Sauron battle

2:35:50, "fist of the istari" lol

Elendil!

Kinda lacks the same weight. Needs more length.
Most fitting I found thoe

You have had another episode since this one so you may have worked  it out yourself but the reason you are struggling with Ogbul is that it is a minor settlement with culture largely dependant on the main one in the region (in this case that would be Duneard).
Enjoying the playthrough as always. Inspired me to have another run at Gondor. I do get your point in regard to RK not being a direct upgrade. On the plus side it is not only Minas Tirth that can recruit steelbowmen. Minas Ithil and Morannon can also do so through the encampment line and they do round off the rooster rather nicely adding some recruitable AP archers in the south.

I think there were a button that can reject your summoning to the white council, so you no need to wait for don’t how many turns(but definitely a lot) to trigger “claim the ring for Gondor”.
I’ve seen it in Lorien campaign when you were traveling with Celebron to Imladris, you were asking about how many turns you have to get to White council.
And another moment was in your early Hihg elfs campaign, when Gondor kills Sauron and decided to keep the ring, it was pretty fast, so I assume AI can make this choice, so do you, but you have to find right button 😂

Merchants efficiency is correlated with capital to trade commodity distance i think..

I mean your half right because on one hand you have no elites, but on the otherhand your defensive units include a free upkeep pike unit available everywhere and of course the 25% law bonus which is broken as all hell.

We needed episode 8.5 where you spent 2 hours on one turn doing administration.

If you did an off-screen test of Capitol movement you might see an improvement in trade. Of course the weight of Gondor’s eastern group of settlements might negate geographical influence.

1:07:00 one of the few things I hate about the game is "You must bring the ring to Rivendell!"  even when you're going to comply with the White Council to destroy the ring.  Dude I'm in Dol Guldur or Mordor or Umbar or Rhun why should I have to make five times the travel and turns when I could just take it to Mordor.  The ringbearer should get the crusade feature where they have huge travel distance or something.  Not to mention is it physically possible to get the ring from Rhun to Rivendell in 25 turns?

Seems like Sauron has a minimum range and won’t do the ranged attack inside of it, since he can theoretically hit himself with the fire

solid episode and fair enough complaint on the roster merges. Do you think if they made the Dunedain infantry and spearman gondor tier and Royal units citadel guard and talon Knight tier it would be an upgrade since you can only get them from manland Gondor?

sad to see the north factions arent pushing mordor super hard in the forests.

48:38 Well, that would never happened with a Troll-Bane Ballistae now would it? #justicefortrollbane

Does the capital’s location impact how much your merchants make?

Any chance of moving that Balin stack over a couple spots on the map to see if gets them moving again? 4:01:00

Did Boromir and Denethor lose all their kills?
