I used a bit of Prussian blue later, forgot to mention that in the video. Also, don't come at me if you can't understand what I'm saying, turn on the caption 😭
Edit: https://pin.it/72tWoirLZ the reference photo of the painting, if anyone needed :)

My problem is that I get scared at the “ugly” stage of a painting. I start doubting if I’ll be able to fix the ugliness and make it look good.

It's so rare to see someone handle gouache this well and to have a coherent process instead of diving straight into full opacity and trying to balance the entire painting from the beginning. I think the method of watery to opaque is the best way to get all gouache has to offer, and you've presented that so clearly and expertly. I think the softness you have in some of your edges makes this sing and really balances with the crispness gouache can give too much of if you're not careful.

That tip about intentional, directional brush strokes was golden. I really feel like I learned a lot from just these 9 minutes!

You don’t know how brave you are for adding those darkest dark shadows. I don’t feel I could ever 😭🥺

Girl I’m not really into painting content but your video was recommended to me by the algorithm and I just wanted to say that this drawing looks so cool!

Watching the painting come to life is so mesmerizing

Lovely. There was a lot of talk at my art college, a lot of critiques, but almost no technical instruction. It kills me that I learn more from short videos like this about paint and brushes than I learned in years of school. Thank you. Also, your voice and words are extremely calming, perfect for teaching subjects like this.

You're so generous with your tips! You deserve all of the abundance and as always thank you for this!

Your voice is so gentle and comforting, and your dialogue speaks volumes about the true passion and purpose of art. I loved this video, thank you so much! (from a beginner who regrets buying really expensive paint) <333

I usually colour in colouring books, but watching you paint makes me want to try how my gouache paints react on real paper. 💕

‏‪1:49‬‏ Yes, please we want a video He explains how to adjust the proportions and similar because whenever I draw my drawing, it does not look same the image or the person

This is great. I thought gouache could only do illustrator or poster style paintings. I've never seen anyone do realism with gouache. Your work is so lovely.
