I remember tweed jacketed gentlemen smoking their pipes, it was a part of the England I grew up in and it was lovely…and I miss it terribly.

Thank you for mentioning the subject. I'm a female smoking pipe, l never found anything different between women/men smoking a pipe. I was brought up in a pipe smoking household, my dad and at least two of my uncles smoked a pipe that time. I remember the shape of these pipes and the makers. The genuine scent of tobacco is something you never forget. As an aduld now l exactly bought the same brand of pipes, its Polish maker ' Bróg' mine is churchwarden. Beautiful piece of a simple pipe. Yes l don't see any woman with a pipe nowadays, but l see men walking around parks in Edinburgh, with real genuine lovely pipes. Not the vapes :) greetings from Scotland.

I can happily sit in a room of pipe smoke in a way that I couldn't abide where cigarettes are concerned. ❤

How a pipe brings us together! Wonderful to see both enjoying the same hobby. 😊

I am a Daphne Du Maurier type of woman who has been smoking my own roll up cigarettes within its holder for 40 odd years, I enjoy the experience of privately smoking  in my own space & pace of time, without having others to look down on me for doing so or hastily moving me on!...Julias little pipes are beautiful, & I am really tempted to get my own pipe now, thankyou Julia & Richard.

I have been smoking a tobacco pipe for 60 years now, started at 18 and I am now 78, It has given me more contentment than anything else. I would like every woman in the world to smoke a pipe, then maybe there is less of a chance , that I will be prevented from smoking mine ,Good Show !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to you both im a fellow woman pipe smoker i got my pipe a couple of weeks ago very enjoyable I love Julias pipe she had in begining of video.
But all your pipes are very nice.

Thanks Richard and Julia. Ive just ordered myself 2 pipes from Etsy 😊

Apparently my granny (she died a year before I was born) used to puff on her clay pipe whilst knitting, listening to a radio show and still being able to take part in a conversation all at the same time.  I think she must have had a very developed mind to be able to concentrate on all that.

I bought a pipe over a month ago after watching Richard enjoying his pipe. Friends and family couldn’t stop laughing when they saw me light up.
I love it and would recommend a pipe in the evening to anyone who is reading this. x

Guy's what an absolutely adorable couple you's are, A lesson to be taken from your close and affectionate relationship. I do wish the pair of you all the best in your future endeavours, and the peace to live out the rest of your lives together on the homestead you both are seeking. Love from the N/E of UK ❤❤

This is legendary', Man and, dear partner, smoking pipes together. And yes 'smelling and seeing the smoke is all part of the experience, as you say' part of the feedback loop, at least for me anyway. Love from Terra Australas.

Thank you Richard, and Lovely Julia, lovely video, thank you for inspiring a Baby Boomer (1959), hopefully the 2nd hand French Briar that is wending its way toward me, will help to make me more relaxed, cheers.

Absolutely fantastic xx

Great to see you both speaking up for the pipe.
I started pipe smoking while working on the farm aged 15.
I continued  to smoke pipe for the next 40 years mainly St Bruno,Condor, Black Cherry when I could get it was a special treat.
I stopped smoking  till I retired .
Shortly after , my wife Sheila  died.
I still had all 20 of my pipes.
I found a tobacconist in Whitby went in for a look around .
Came out with 50g of Black Cherry .
Quite expensive  but what a treat when loaded into my 30 Yr old Peterson  Shamrock.
Memory's came flooding back about our 40 years life together ❤.
I agree a pipe is a thing of beauty.
To be enjoyed whilst  at rest.
Because  backie has now reached £25 for 59g I have ordered some Virginia  tobacco seeds from e Bay to grow my own in the UK  next spring.

Interesting too
Thank you both ✨🇬🇧

Lots of women used to smoke pipes, lots of the old (proper) female film stars used to - have a search and you will find pictures of them enjoying a pipe - also if you can find a copy watch Father of the Flame about pipe smoking and pipes!
