I worked on this game! It was one of my first freelance jobs after college. (all I did was some prop art) So cool to see Gab playing it!

As someone who grew up watching Sean, Mark and Felix play Amnesia, I've only ever heard them talk about Penumbra.
It's so cool to finally see what it's all about, thank you Gab!

"Like 'Nobel Prize' Nobel?"

One and the same! In fact, the Nobel Prize came about because one day, Nobel's brother died, but a French newspaper thought it was Alfred Nobel and ran a headline titled "the merchant of death is dead," because dynamite- which Nobel had intended for use in blasting mountain tunnels and the like- had turned out to be a very popular (and deadly) weapon. Nobel created his institute so that his legacy would be of peace instead of war.

When the intro started i got those nostalgia chills what a great idea to replay this, but you are now legally obligated to play black plague too (pretty please)

I've always loved the diary of the researcher hunkered-down in the spider infested tunnels, as he gets progressively weirder in the dark, with his upsetting diet down there. Such an amazing bit of storytelling :D

One of the very few people ill watch play anything horror only cause Gab makes it less horrory 🤣

The graphics of this era is so nostalgic

No way! Penumbra in big 2026? Classic horror games are way better than most of the modern one.

Gosh, this takes me back. I'm so happy my favorite game streamer is picking up this classic because most playthroughs are older and hard to watch (remember when videos couldn't be longer than 10 minutes and had really loud intro and outro music?). Perfect video to weather the "red storm". 😂

I CANNOT believe you're playing Penumbra!!! So excited for this! ✨️🙌🏻

I'd be lying if I said I love Amnesia more than Penumbra. I wish they would have continued this series but I'm also glad modders were able to do that for them. Just wish we got a franchise out of it

I fcking gasped seeing this on the feed. I have been in love with everything Frictional has made since Amnesia. SOMA remains one of my favorite games of all time. I've not played Penumbra myself, but I am so excited for this playthrough!

I think I made it like 10 minutes into this game before spooking myself too much. Excited to finally see the actual game.

Memory is crazy. We are not remembering the original memory. What you remember is the last time you thought about that memory. Which is slightly changed each time by emotions and things you are encountering at the time.

I'm SO down for this nostalgia party. 🥰🎉

omfg, its been YEARS since ive heard that name... Please do Black Plague next, thats one of my favorite games of all time!

Never apologize for not having the same experience as someone else. If anyone takes issue with that lack of experience then the greater issue is in that itself, and lies with them.

omg my only memory of this game is how amazed I was that you had to drag the mouse to open doors (not just click it)

I've known about Penumbra since I was a teen, but now in my 30s this is the first time I've watched an LP of it!

Thank you so much for playing it, I didn't know I'd been sleeping on something this cool for so long!  I'm really glad that this is basically a blind LP. Watching Gab explore everything slowly and puzzle through things, it was a really nice way to experience this story for the first time

I loved Red so much! His accent and his quirks were so much fun and so charming. It absolutely broke my heart going through his room afterwards. Impeccable storytelling. I'm really looking forward to the next part!!

Omg I’m so hype for this! I remember watching either Felix, Mark, or John playing this like 15 years ago! I’m dying for Gab to play old school Amnesia too ❤
