You could get one mon poisoned and then pass out. That way you only have to use the elevator once to get down but not back up.

Impressive. Now, beat pokemon fire red without a pokemon

Once I realized pokeballs were a no-go, I immediately went over all of the gift encounters. And without the fossils or game corner, that’s more than cut in half

You say that it doesn't make sense to be able to identify trainer-owned ghosts without a Silph Scope, but I would argue that the trainer yelling "Gastly, I choose you!" is obviously the enemy trainer identifying their pokemon for you.

Interesting run. Now I think if Scrooge McDuck can go through entire game. That means no buying anything, and earning a lot of money. That means you can only use items which you find on the way or get for free.

This all wouldn’t have been possible without Normie being the emotional support the team needed

my first assumption was 5 items used, but I ruled using keys out entirely when making that. I assumed only items you go out of your way and use, selecting it in the menu and all. this was interesting to watch.

Bro ur commentary always gets me giggling haha so many good one liners. 😂

I'm kinda proud that it took me only 30 seconds to name all mandatory items, Though my item use count was only 10 as I counted the Lift Key as single use.

Actually there's a method in speedrunning where you just warp to the end credits. I think it involves items, but you don't have to "use" them.

Thanks for posting this, I've been requesting this challenge to a lot of other youtubers for so long and you finally make this challenge

Cut/Surf/Strength. SS Ticket, Sliph Scope, Pokeflute, Secret Key, Lift Key.
Can't remember what Sevii Islands have for required items, but I know you can skip it, so technically none?

I forgot the Card Key.

Hi Joe!! Very original challenge! Congrats on it! You did fantastic as usually you do! I never asked myself this question by the way. Can you believe, almost already in the end of the vídeo I just realized why you couldn’t grind xour mons? Of course, oh my dude, you can’t heal them! That’s so obvious but it took me some time to figure it out, how silly of me, man 😂! Anyway I really enjoyed the challenge, very well planned and executed, excellent Joe! Thank you for always bringing to us so nice content, dear Joe! I do gladly support you, you already know it😊! I can’t wait to see the next one! Take care, friend!🤝
