Hello, my name is Nicholas Steel, and I’m on a mission to become the youngest person ever, and one of very few, to complete 30 100-mile foot races in a single calendar year!

The Burney Mountain 100 is a ~104 mile point-to-point race held in the Northern California. It’s one large loop, starting and ending at the Burney Mountain Guest Ranch.

The course features both technical dirt-packed trails on the PCT and semi-technical fire roads.

The elevation consists of two massive climbs, Burney Mountain & Magee Peak. Topping above 8,000+ ft compared to sea level.

A huge thank you to race directors Jenifer and Chad for generously covering my race entry and stay at the Burney Mountain Guest Ranch so I could record this event for the beautiful experience it is! & thank you to the owners of the guest ranch for accommodating both my dad & I.

Another amazing ultra video, Nick. Great narrating, scenery and music choices. I think it showcased the Burney Mountain 100 nicely (other than the 90F weather it should have been for that time of year lol). Keep it going! 🔥

All respect and admiration that you filmed and commented on the race as you ran it and didn't give in to the pain so you could add Burney Mtn . 100mile to your impressive tally! Also, many, many thanks for showing us the event with all its beauty and challenge, from a runner's perspective. Like your dad, I could only try to imagine it as I drove from one aid station to the next and waited for my son to arrive, top up on fuels and head out again

Ouch, falling so early in a race. Maybe need a brighter light?, or a waist light? I have fallen too, not paying attention, those nasty rocks will catch you. I have fallen even when I do see the rocks, specially when they are wet and slippery. Still having some tenderness from my last fall onto my R arm, that was over a month ago. Loss of toe nails par for the course. Never heard you cuss so much in a vid, must of been the hardest race so far. Beautiful but brutal. Nice shout out to your dad.
