Iizaka Onsen, located in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, is a historic hot spring town counted as one of the "Three Famous Hot Springs of Oshu," along with Naruko Onsen and Akiu Onsen. It's an ancient hot spring associated with the legend of Yamato Takeru, and is said to have been visited by Matsuo Basho on his journey along the Oku no Hosomichi (Narrow Road to the Deep North). It's characterized by its abundant hot spring water and high-temperature, steaming springs.
