The AfD won the state election in Saxony-Anhalt decisively with 43.8 percent of the vote, but narrowly missed an absolute majority in the state parliament. The BSW (Citizens' Initiative for Saxony-Anhalt) secured 5.3 percent of the vote, thus becoming a potential kingmaker. Wagenknecht's party opposes both a CDU government and the election of AfD lead candidate Ulrich Siegmund as Minister-President, instead calling for a non-partisan head of government who would govern with shifting majorities.

AfD leader Tino Chrupalla, on the other hand, sees a clear mandate for Siegmund and does not rule out talks with parts of the CDU. Markus Lanz discusses with his guests: Who will govern Saxony-Anhalt for the next five years?
