My father lived in Trinidad 1942-1952 and my mother joined him around 1944.   The stories I heard from them about this particular road were almost unbelievable: in those days, the road was dirt and rocks; a trip almost inevitably involved a flat tyre if not a cracked oil pan or broken axle.  But the journey was worth it, the reward being a totally deserted beach, when the sight of someone else was regarded as a "crowd".  Our family album has pictures of me as an infant, playing in the sea with my father, and not another soul in sight.   So, thank you so much for showing the legendary road, now much improved, that I will likely never see in person.

I'm sitting in my reliving the years I spent growing up in Trinidad, and getting really excited as I point out places I'd walked as a child to and from school. Change has indeed come, but in many ways looking at my homeland's beauty, friendly spirit and resilience, I can honestly say for the first time I'm excited to visit after almost a fifty year absence. My children and grandchildren are excited to see the places I walked ,visited and lived as a child. Thank you for doing these videos and bringing a spark into our lives.

I am Trinidadian looking from USA

Super beautiful video with awesome and breathtaking scenery. The road is a far different cry from my visit there over 60 years ago. So very pleased to see all the guardrails. Had they been there in the old days, they would have saved hundreds of lives from going over the many precipice. It is a pleasure watching the many videos of the land of my birth. Thanks.

The natural environment of Trinidad is really serene and amazing. Viewing from Jamaica ^^

I was born and bread in mt lambert left since 1981 last time I were there before covid hit 2020 for carnival

Watching from Jamaica, very beautiful. I will visit to experience the T and T atmosphere..and the street food.
