Thank you so much, I appreciate so much when people swatch several ink batches/colors of the same brand. It helps a lot on picking the right shade. Also, I feel you with Steel Blue. Haven't found an oportunity to use it yet xD
I recently got Sargasso Sea and it’s amazing! Gorgeous, sheening and beautiful. I love Diamine Oxford Blue as well, a gorgeous blue black. Diamine Blue Black is beautiful. Denim is lovely. Great Jung quote.
I've enjoyed this video, thank you. It's like I've been able to enjoy having lots of blues for a brief moment. In particular, the Sargasso + Fine nib comment is gold. I've just learned I'm better with fine nibs, but don't enjoy the slightly reduced smoothness/wetness, so will order some. On the "can you have too many blue inks?" question, I think we can look to within for the answer. If we've got some we don't use, it's too many. If we use them/enjoy them despite not using them, it's fine. I've got too many inks (currently only at 8), but I've only discovered the few that I don't need to have moving forwards by buying small bottles and trying them in a pen. I think I'll pop them on eBay for postage costs only — let others take them for a spin. And then get myself some Sargasso Sea!
I wish there had been more film of what the various inks look like in actual size without the enlargement, since that is how most people will be viewing them on a page when used.
La Diamine "blue black" me paraît plus bleue que d'autres encres bleu-noir ( Parker ou Pelikan par exemple ). Ma préférée dans cette démonstration est la "Sargasso Sea".
Love Diamine inks. The only thing I'd like them to do is take a leaf out of Robert Oster's book, and put a sticker on the top of the cap with the colour. It's a slight nuisance not knowing which is which if you have more than one of their inks 😂 They're so reasonably priced, how could any ink fan just stop at one of their 100+ 30ml Bottles 😊
Diamine Celadon Cat is my favourite ink ever!! in a TWSBI ECO-T and medium nib but now you have me curious about trying the broad nib! I have the same feeling about the Steel Blue and other more saturated blue/green teals like Diamine Marine and J. Herbin Bleu Calanque. Although I get initially really excited about these colours, I just don't like to use them and keep coming back to Diamine Celadon Cat. I think my eyes just prefer the greys with a hint of colour type of inks and the subtle blue/green/grey of Celadon Cat is just so lovely! Also a cat person too, the name couldn't be more fitting. Thank you for doing a side by side comparison, I have Diamine Marine and have been on the fence about Steel Blue but maybe I will just stick with the trusty cat. J. Herbin Vert de Gris is also on my list of inks to try...
