GamingSins: Everything Wrong With Resident Evil 3 Remake

Welcome to GamingSins, where I nitpick the hell out of video games.

If you've ever wondered what wasted potential looks like, look no further than the Resident Evil 3 remake. A game that somehow manages to eliminate every aspect that made its original unique. As its own game, it's fine. But as a remake to one of the greatest Resident Evil games of all time, it's one of the worst you'll ever have the displeasure of playing. This game is the epitome of a mixed bag. It's not downright atrocious, but it's certainly not as good as it could've been.

BIG shoutouts to all the excellent Resident Evil modders that made this game tolerable to play.

Capcom: "we are disgusted by the way Jill was sexualized in the original game"
Also Capcom: "here is an enemy that can literally mouth-rape Jill, you will see the animation every time she gets attacked, and you cant skip it"

Let's make a deal: If Jill lifting the railgun is an ok for some people, then those same people can't whine about Chris punching that boulder ever again. Deal? xD

When Jill said her ending line in the middle pissed me off.

@keelanperumal1980 6 years ago

One of the biggest sins he didn't point out was no barry in the ending scene. :/

Resident evil UC Jill: “I know this city like the back of my hand.

Re3 remake Jill: “alright Carlos , where do I go?”

Sin: The Stars line can be interrupted and is never repeated.

I'll just qoute nostalgia critic's Aladdin remake "it relies to much on the impact of the original so it doesn't have to try"

@A_HDMI 6 years ago

Actually 290 sins cuz in RE 2 remake they have blue herbs while in RE 3 remake doesn't.

So uncivilised.

@YaBoyRayy 6 years ago (edited)

Cutting like pretty much half of the original in this remake should be about 1 million sins
Also nikolai shooting the Vaccine vial is like capcom saying you want Dlc For Resident Evil 3 Remake,,,,Shoot

GCN's a lot more descriptive and explains his sins with this game. Goes to show how disappointing this game really is.

@madbrosheo1514 6 years ago

I’m glad you’re actually making real criticisms and not just “Short game bad.”

@ksharma-007 5 years ago (edited)

Literally 47 minutes and 23 seconds of pure good criticism from GCN that this game definitely needs

2 things,

1) it's cannon that kendo wasn't just some pervy guy in the original. The reason his shop was so empty was because he was handing out weapons to the public.

2) flash drives weren't a thing back there, correct. However they did have usb "keys" back then. Which is what they used in this and the re2 remake.

Everything Wrong With The Last of Us Part 2, let’s get ready to....SIN!!!

@jamesdubeck4920 5 years ago

I love when hes talking about how important it was for us to explore raccoon city and how the orignal had a lot more locations to go to. Maybe if the remake kept those areas the game wouldnt be as short as it was.

After sin 138, I realized (thanks to you) that Brad turned in a couple of minutes and Jill didn't even after half a day. Like you said "umbrella should study Jill to cure every decease"
