A party that calls itself “horizontal” but whose dissidents are purged by text message: this is the picture painted by "La Meute" (The Pack), the investigative book on La France Insoumise (France Unbowed). But is there really anything to be surprised about? More than a century ago, the Italian-German sociologist Robert Michels formulated the “iron law of oligarchy”: as soon as a movement grows, an elite establishes itself and concentrates information, money, and then power. Today, the LFI controversy offers a real-world laboratory for testing this thesis.
In this video, we will draw parallels between the mechanisms described by Michels and the practices that journalists have uncovered within Mélenchon's party. This leads us to ask this question: if equality fails even within a party, how can it be expected to be imposed on the whole of society?

Dans ce cas une traduction de Mosca sera probablement plus intéressante si le seul livre intéressant de Michels pour le combat culturel est déjà traduit.
