they're called torque to yield bolts. they are one use only bolts because they stretch, it's the same as the head bolts on my 1990 ford ranger, torque to 55ft LBS then turn 90 degrees after 5 minutes
Most of these rebuilds are due to lubrication issues. Bond a lubricant to the inside of your engine and you can extend the lifespan of your engine by 2~10x. 🙂#XcelPlus
Gday, that’s amazing there’s not gaskets and only relies on the sealant, I guess that’s a cheaper option and the sealant that you get now is higher quality, just thinking out loud there, the engine and gearbox looks like it’s a press fit in the cradle, what’s pain in the ass to fit that would’ve been, more patients then me mate, the new lathe is paying for its self nicely also, take care, Cheers Matty
Hi!!! Sorry to bother, I couldn't find any of the torque specs for a 451 1.0 engine on the 8 crank case bolts and piston Conrod bolts, could you please help me? Is it also 21nm +90 and 15nm+90?
