No one ignores these.  These are the most talked about turntables out there.

I own a Taya 100 , believe it was made by Toshiba in Japan , late 70's . It is a nice table , picked it up for 70 bucks .

Correction: Purists DO NOT criticize turntables for being too basic.  They actually tend to avoid automation based on the general assumption that the required additional moving parts used for the automation are a source of vibration that will color the sound.  That is the rationale for choosing a manual turntable.  A few manufacturers have implemented a workaround by providing optically (as opposed to mechanically) triggered tonearm lift or motor shut-off at the end of record play.

Despite the high ratings of the #1 turntable on the list, the Sony PS-LX3BT is actually a perfect example of a unit consisting of low-cost parts being marked up to a very high price (not considering the retail price).  The motor is a low-cost, small design, requiring high-torque, which will generate more rumble that the belt would need to filter out.  Higher-priced motors are larger and rotate slower to lower the rumble frequency to ensure that it is lowered further below the range of audibility. At $328, it has a molded plastic enclosure (which tends to resonate) and a spindle that is connected to a gear-driven mechanism for the tonearm return function.  This is a no-no for purists.  But it's not made for purists so there is no harm in its design in this respect.

The acrylic platter used in turntables will not "ring" like an aluminum platter but it still needs to be used with a platter mat do supress its resonance. All materials resonate so damping material is needed.  Nobody should be fooled into thinking they can use an acrylic platter without a mat.

Virtually all tonearms on turntables now are S-shaped or J-shaped.  The last time these were so widely prevalent was in the 70s largely for aesthetic reasons.  By the 80s, engineering-driven manufacturers used straight tonearms because it contributed lower mass and were better able to track record warps (all records have at least microscopic warps), provided that the friction bearing is low and can better accommodate high-compliance cartridges, which tend to be better at reproducing bass.  These cartridges no longer exist due to the almost universal revival of S-shaped and J-shaped tonearms, which usually only add mass and increase tracking instability.  Laboratory studies have been over 40 years ago to support this conclusion.

Interestingly, a counter-argument exists about lighter tonearms having an increasing tendency to resonate because they tend to be less rigid.  But this may not be true, depending on the material used.  Most tonearms are made of aluminum while some are a modified aluminum coated with damping material.  Still others are made using carbon fiber.  The proof is in the final listening: tighter bass usually means there are less resonances being re-circulated between the tonearm and the stylus.  Record clamps and good platter mats can help here.  In the 80s, a few manufacturers used vacuum pumps in high-end designs.  This feature doesn't exist anymore.

A closer look at modern turntable designs will reveal that (aside from the Bluetooth and built-in phone preamp features) many models are actually stripped-down derivatives of basic 1980s designs!  This is the reason that many older consumers still use their original turntables from the 80s.

This purpose of the last statement is not to knock newer designs.  There are still some good ones but most come with performance caveats.  The U-Turn is a nice exception to most.  The current offering from Fosi also deserves a look.

The problem when you use AI is that, if you listen closely, and pay attention, the script, as complex as it my be, will take, oh say, maybe 200 words while the actual video should use, on the average, at the most,given the average understanding of the truly basic listener is, perhaps from the most common English language should be no more than 8-10 two syllable words or less .🤦🏻🤮
