Welcome to Forest Star of Forestella.
Forestella is a renowned four-member South Korean crossover vocal group. Formed in 2017 after winning JTBC’s Phantom Singer 2, they are celebrated for their rich four-part harmonies that seamlessly blend classical, pop, rock, and traditional Korean music.
Members: Bae Doo-hoon (Musical Actor), Kang Hyung-ho (Countertenor/Rock Vocalist), Cho Mingyu (Tenor & Leader), and Ko Woo-rim (Bass)
Musical Style: Unrivaled multi-genre cross-overs highlighting four distinct vocal ranges
Name Meaning: A combination of "Forest" (comforting) and "Stella" (star/shining), meaning "music that is comforting like a forest and shining like a star"

Now that you been trapped by Forestella let's watch together their videos and live performances.

Forestella is one of the groups that sing the best in the world
They sing the song live.
The cover songs are good, but their original songs are so cool that I recommend looking them up and giving them a listen

They got famous for doing covers of popular songs with their own self written harmonies and usually some kind of twist.  (Like singing an Ed Sheeran song with a Latin/African beat in Spanish and Zulu) on the competition show Immortal Songs, but they also have a lot of original songs in various genres.  On the Killing Voice about half of the songs they performed were Forestella originals.  My favorite Forestella original is called Stay.    https://youtu.be/kC0a77SjJeU?is=cxVH_VBhbESTTCKq  And my favorite Forestella cover that they did on Immortal Songs was Legends Never Die. https://youtu.be/f95exoC4Xxs?is=7hQemJ_p8B4rGLZ1

Let me tell you something, and that’s it: THEY ARE THE BEST CROSSOVER BAND EVER.
Once you deep-dive into the Forestella world, you’ll never get out. Every song they sing gets stuck in my head for weeks, and I just can’t get over it. I got through some of my worst and darkest days last winter with their songs. They are truly heavenly. 🤍🕊️

Don’t miss their French performances as well - Je suis Malade and Etude.

Also Ko Woorim’s cover of Les feuilles Mortes.

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is forestella

You can search Forestella MBC radio (concert in studio). Another live radio and studio version😊 almost 45 minutes long 😅 also their Inner Universe cover 🎉

They’re just brilliant! This video is a little taster of their beautiful playlist, featuring original songs and covers. Their voices, their harmonies, their live performances – they’re all perfect. They’re all-round artists who live and breathe music with passion and share it with all their love.
I love them so much; they’re my daily joy and a breath of fresh air for my soul, and I hope you get to know them – and that the whole world gets to know them. Forestella is a real gem!🤩🤩🤩🤩

You definitely need to listen to their cover of Time in a Bottle

Thank you, Alex, for your reaction to this wonderful medley for Killing Voice. Forestella is a South Korean classical crossover quartet. They introduce themselves as "crossover", not K-pop. They're known as "The Kings of Harmonies" and perform each song this way. This is one of their best performances.  They're insanely amazing. Every time you hear them, you're mesmerized. It's hard to find words to describe your feelings, but I can say that each and every one of Forestella's performances is truly an "AMAZING EXPERIENCE." They're the best male vocal quartet nowadays.

These are the Forestella members' names and their vocal ranges (for classification purposes only; no intention to disrespect Korean naming customs). They're written in the following order: first name, last name, but in Korea they do it the other way around: last name, then first name.

1- Woorim Ko - He is a basso profundo, a rare and powerful bass voice type with the lowest range in the male vocal spectrum.  His voice type is classified as a dramatic basso profundo, capable of reaching extremely low notes such as E1 and potentially lower.

2. Hyungho Kang - He's a countertenor with pristine, clear high notes.

3. Doohoon Bae - He's the vocalist with a baritone range.

4. Mingyu  Cho - He's a classical leggero tenor with a light, boyish, crystal-clear tone.

I've included below some recommended songs that are masterpieces of art. They won't ever disappoint you. They sing in various languages, including English, French, Korean, Latin, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Zulu.

I'm really looking forward to watching other Forestella reaction videos from you. Thank you.

Welcome to the world of Forestella! Best group in the world in terms of diversity, complexity, technical perfection and harmonies. And all their live performances and concerts have that perfection. In the Killing Voice set the following were originals. Some of them written , composed by the members themselves.
Nella Notte
Snow Globe
And Spring
The reason we are together.
Utopia
Armageddon .
The others were covers that they originally performed on the show “ Immortal songs” which require artists to reinterpret songs based on a theme.
Forestella has a record number of wins on this show  and 7 consecutive King of Kings titles an all time record..
Every song is unique and perfectly executed. You will never be disappointed.

As you discovered, Forestella members are storytellers. Wait until you see one of their performances in full. When I watched their Killing Voice, I was so hopeful it would bring in new listeners. I was happy to see you find them. You will not be disappointed by any of their performances, but I suggest Utopia (or their whole new album) for an original and Je Suis Malade for a cover.Their albums are usually their own work with some covers included. They sang at least 6 of their original songs in this performance (my counting is probably a little off).

They are not human!! DIVINE!!  Forestella and Dimash...THE BEST on the planet!!

Congrats! Welcome to Forestella world! They're so amazing and the king of harmonies. They're seven time champions and legendary record holder for the Immortal Songs King of the Kings edition.

I fell into the Forestella rabbit hole about two months ago, and I'm completely trapped. Also fascinated by the fairy tale story of how Woorim Ko (the bass singer) married Yuna Kim known as "Queen Yuna" after four years of secret courtship.

Hello, this is a vocal crossover group. It consists of two opera singers — a bass and a light tenor, a musical theater actor, and a self‑taught musician with an incredible vocal range. They sing in a wide variety of genres — classical, rock, trot, jazz, and more.
