Welcome to Day 1 or the Beretta Gold Cup 2026 at Eaton Hall.

I kick things off with special guest Mike Pearce from MSJ Online, as we take on the pool shoot before I head out onto the main Gold Cup course.

@msjonline1

A massive thankyou to GMK, Beretta and Eaton Hall for allowing HartShot to attend and film the event.

There are plenty of familiar faces along the way including Jonny Carter (TGS), as I take you with me through Day 1 of the competition.

This is Day 1 of my Beretta Gold Cup coverage - Day 2 will follow.

Shout out here from another left handed 694 shooter, also 30"! Briley titanium chokes for everything except Skeet, Muller Featherweights for that.

Nice video again Matt! Good effort! Entertaining watching you and Mike in the pool shoot! Shame you couldn't get your hands on an SL2.

Would've liked to have seen the Targets that you were shooting at, otherwise, a really good video.

It’s not the action that makes the difference in recoil it’s the gunfit 100%
Lower profile actions may make a tiny difference but it’s the way the stock fits that affects perceived recoil

Interesting video, but could've been better, if, we could've seen the targets that you were shooting at? nice effort though, well done.

If you are anything like me you would have learned one thing at this shoot. You have to buy another gun! I know you Brits can pick up used guns on the cheap, as compared to the premiuns we pay for used guns here in the States. Drop about 1200 pounds for a nice used 682 GE or a 690 Black and set it up to shoot the same point of aim as your Perazzi. One might say it's a poor investment to buy a gun for one match a year but the hyper competitive shooter inside of me killed the frugal guy decades ago, any excuse for a new gun! Eaton Hall is amazing, it looks like Disney Land for shooters.
