“3 dangerous robbers looted 50 crores from JFK airport warehouse, remained uncaught for 25 years! @ true crime story

On December 11, 1978, a well-planned robbery took place at the Lufthansa cargo terminal of JFK airport, in which cash and jewelry worth about $5.875 million was looted. The masterminds of this robbery included James "Jimmy the Gent" Burke, Thomas DeSimone, and Louis Werner. Louis Werner, who was a cargo supervisor at the airport, provided inside information and planned the robbery.

After this robbery, Jimmy Burke murdered his colleagues so that they could not testify and take possession of the looted amount. The FBI started an investigation into this incident, but the main culprit Jimmy Burke was never convicted. However, in 2014, Vincent Asaro was arrested for his involvement in the robbery, but he was later acquitted.

This robbery has earned recognition as the biggest cash robbery in US history made its mark and this incident was also depicted in the movie "Goodfellas".
