"The objectives are fairly simple, you need to reprogram a shuttle and launch it into space".
Ok, Karl

Having your name before "Achieved.. This Run 😎" is the highest honor.

Given the choice between "nobody else will do this lmao" and "I'm going to do this myself even if I have to cry tears of blood for insane amounts of grinding this one level", it's pretty obvious which speedrunners will take.

I love how the gamechanging idea that allows the strat to work is literally just juke the turret so you take less damage

“Until now” … The most exciting phrase in the English language to me as a fan of speed running 😎

Worth noting that before Gus got his 1:34, Clemens and Goose both tied 1:35 which had been an untied for around 4 years.

"Hello you absolute legends"

Ah yes, this is gonna be a hell of a show.

One of my favorite aspects of speedrunning is seeing people work together and discovering these crazy strategies.

I've never played this game, have no intention of it and came across Karl a few years ago? when he achieved his WR....

there is just something about his narrating skills and knowledge which is so enthralling it just keeps you watching.

Amazing Karl, hope you achieve great things

It's great to see minecraft youtubers expand their horizons. Goldeneye is a great game, and I hope you make more videos about it!

/s, just in case

Now I want to see a TAS of every 00 Agent level.

Looks like we have a pattern of Karl Jobst and Ryan White Goose making videos where they explain each other's seemingly impossible Goldeneye records.

That is, one speedrunner examining another.

Video start Checklist:
"Hello you absolute legends" ✓
Soothing angelic quire choir of a musical peace ✓
"Something truly monumental / Monuments has happened" ✓
Ah yes, its all coming together

I keep seeing these finnish names in olf school speed running, funny. Ilari Pekkala is a finnish runner, as well as quite a few of the top Quake & Doom runners

I remember this strat being talked and theorized about from Ryan White aka Goose's Speed lore videos on this level. It is insane that someone finally had the guts/balls to try out the strat after the knowledge has been known about for 20 years.  Congrats to the WR holder.

I always wonder if one of these speedrunners is my old friend from the 90s who played goldeneye with 2 controllers even back then

Why did it take so long to discover you can double back on the turret? It seems like one of the first strategies you'd try to counter slow turning or minimal aim-cone opponents.

Hearing Karl calling me "an absolute legend" when I am currently at my lowest point really makes my day.. Plus a 17 minutes of content.. not to shabby..

This is seriously my favorite channel on YT. One of the only channels that's gets an instant play no matter how long the video. I love that you explain everything that is necessary and with amazing production quality. I'm not even a speed runner but because of you I am a fan.
