Thanks!  I had a broken gx200 starter pull that I rebuilt from your video.  Work's like new now.  Saved me $75.

Thank you so much!!! This definitely kept us able to finish out the work we started.  Truly appreciate you!

I was about to try this when I decided to spray a generous amount of WD 40 into the coil and let it sit for a day. The next day the rope pulled back into place and it now works fine. You may want to try this before taking the pull starter apart.

Thanks a bunch for this video. I guess I rotated it the wrong way and broke the spring. I was here looking at how to do it the right way.

Thank you! I was about to break something after fighting that recoil spring for a couple of hours but the tip about just positioning the center coil end correctly before remounting helped immensely 👍

Very versatile video. The direct, simple approach was perfect. All I needed to do is change the cord. Thank you.

Stellar!  No frills and additional comments.  Straight forward!  Thanks my friend.

This mower has been kicking for about 10 years now. Always had a short cord on it after the original snapped and other minor issues with the recoil starter  https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkx-NCBSqqKJlyQ5_JGS_STpsFYihe7bmM3  until I finally had to open it up in an attempt to feed in a new line. I noticed it was all rusty and the coil was going but upon dismantling it was too much of a pain to get it all back in there correctly and opted to just get a new one. not sure why i waited so long to do so but it was a cheap, easy fix and it would have saved me hours of fiddling with the old rusty coil or trying to pull start and having cheap make-shift lines break in my hand during a pull. If yours is scuffed just replace it!

Thanks I was having a really hard time with this and you cleared it right up!

This helped me immensely. There are many videos on replacing the cord but not about assembly/disassembly of the starter itself. Well let's just say when I opened mine due to a jam, I was not expecting the metal band spring to explode into a giant tangled ball. Needless to say, trying to brute force the coil back into shape is impossible. Doing it with the method in the video is the only way I was able to do it 😅

Thx. Yours is best on YouTube.   Plain, simple, no garbage.

Now that’s how you make a great video.  Great job.

Top video, this saved me a discussion with the hire place.

Excelente docente este profesor. Aun sin saber su idioma he aprendido la lecciòn. Mil gracias por enseñarme y que Dios te dè larga vida para que siga enseñando a miles de personas para que tengan una profesiòn de que vivir y educar su familia.

Thanks so much for this video! My dad was frustrated with the spring and put me on the project. I tried for a few minutes before deciding I could look for a video tutorial. This was perfect - very clear, concise instructions without any chit chat! Got the motor running in 15 minutes. Cheers!!

Thanks for this video.  Bending the spring solved my issue.  THX!

Excellent to-the-point video. Thanks.

Very informative, concise and comprehensive. Thank you very much

A no nonsense explanation. Thanks.
